So my girlfriend and I were there a few weeks ago and we both were shocked it was nice relaxing good food but come on up grade the menu and add more stuff and 2 items on a plate is a very small portion for $25. You can go to Walmart or Safeway or somewhere to buy a single steak for $25 lower the price on everything and add more stuff to the plate and you can go to Applebee’s and get a 10 ounce sirloin with two sides for $18 just for us going there I’m going to give u guys 3 stars

Had the butternut squash soup, filet with mashed potatoes and shared the scallops with my husband. Hubby had wedge salad with ranch and filet with fries. Service, food and atmosphere was fantastic! Went at 6 pm on Saturday and sat right away. Will be going back!!

The aioli fries are a unique item that you cannot get anywhere else in the area, and are genuinely fantastic!The steaks are delicious, and a wonderful departure from the same generic "steak seasoning" used everywhere.The service was wonderful, friendly, and were actually listening and paying attention. They are still getting their bar menu figured out, and were very receptive to feedback, even changing their recipe based on the feedback.Overall, this is a wonderful place to stop in to enjoy a nice steak dinner while in the Black Hills.Parking: Plenty of parking all the way around the building. They would probably still have plenty of open spaces while having a full-house.

My husband and I came to have dinner with some friends to celebrate my birthday. Three of us ordered the pasta which was very tasty. The restaurant has a nice feel and ambiance except the room temperature was very chilly as it was the first time we came. Other than that it was a wonderful dining experience! It's nice to have a good restaurant on the west side of town!!

When we first ate at Sear after the rebrand, I wasn’t too impressed. It took us awhile to go back, but I am so glad we did. I ate the best burger I’ve had in a long while. I honestly CRAVE that burger and fries now. Our server was so sweet too. My fiancé got a steak, and that was also delicious. I highly recommend!

Ok so we have another Steakhouse to go with the other 3 that we already have and no I do not count places like Perkins or Applebee's for steak places! This place will rank right along with Longhorn, Dakota, and Texas Steakhouses. Let's begin with the atmosphere since it is the first thing you will notice coming here. It has really nice subtle lighting, nice big booths that could fit 6 people comfortably and really nice selection of music playing from Sade to Vanessa Carlton. The atmosphere hits on all the key points for me and they don't disappoint at all:) Next will come the service. Our server was very kind, respectful and helpful with us since it was our first time and we didn't know what exactly is good or not. Came back several times to check on us which was also really nice, and even asked if we wanted dessert or not. Service did not disappoint here as well:) The food, how was it? Well it is quite tasty from the Salmon that I ordered to the 7oz Steak my partner ordered. Do note that the steaks are just seasoned with salt and pepper I believe, they do not have a sauce on them unless you order that separately with it but you will be charged extra for the toppings! The salad was good and the dessert was also good. My only let down with this place wasn't the price it was the fact when you go to a place that you know your going to pay $50 per person why would you give me such a little amount on my sides for my main dinner? I had as you can see in the pic only 2 pieces of asparagus and a scoop of potatoes. This was the only let down this place had for me. I know the salmon was supposed to be the main dish but if it comes with sides then give me sides and not samples! You can't go wrong if you choose this place! It ranks in quality with the Longhorn here in Rapid City as being a good steakhouse. This place honestly deserves above a 4 stars but not a 5 stars. The price here is worth it since you are getting the whole package of great food, service and atmosphere. This will definitely not be a regular place to eat at, but one for special occasions. Once or twice a year:) Nice addition to Rapid City!!
