The ambiance in here is great and the sushi is in my opinion best in rapid city! The service is also great and attentive. 10/10 would recommend. Only thing that would make it better is adding combos to the menu because most of the menu is just individual rolls/nigiri etc. It would be nice to have combo plates for those who are indecisive (me) or want to try a little of everything! I love this place though!

We make sure to visit every year during the holidays when in town to see family. The food has remained stellar since we were students at SDSM&T! I can't wait to keep coming back, this is a highlight of the trip!

This place has great sushi. Probably my favorite place to get sushi in Rapid City. Been here plenty of times and never had a problem with the food or service. Always got seated right away, and never had to wait too long to get my food.

My parents have been coming here for years and know the owners and staff very well. The sushi is good and very well made. I personally like the spicy salmon or spicy tuna rolls. This time I had the Yakisoba noodles. I really enjoyed it good flavor and texture. Would recommend for anyone who needs a good sushi fix.

Sumo Japanese Kitchen doesn’t look like much from the outside. Once inside, you’re quickly comforted by the decor, cozy feel and Okinawan influence plastered throughout.

I had the Bibimbap Rice Bowl which I enjoyed. Then I topped it off with one Summer Roll. I was very pleased. I also had the Yuzu tea. Pleasantly sweet.
