The Bashful Bison Deli and Market

This is a wonderful place to eat! If you haven’t tried it, do it now! Excellent food and great service!

I want to personally recommend The Bashful Bison to everyone I know. Today, they hosted a lunch for my department from work- 25 sandwiches in total with various chips and drinks. They went above and beyond for the event. Not only did they have everything ready when we got there, all the sandwiches were correct, served fresh, and were absolutely incredible. They made what could have been a stressful event very easy. I will be recommending them to every department/person I work with as well as all my friends. Added bonus, they were absolutely wonderful in accommodating a couple of special requests (vegan and condiment substitutions) as well having tasty vegetarian options.

Been looking for a good Deli in Rapid City South Dakota for a while and this is the first place that I would actually call a Deli. Although much more expensive than I thought it should be for lunch the food was outstanding and actually has something called flavor. Something that is sorely missing in a lot of other restaurants here in town. Did not have a very large selection of beverages although we did have a black cherry drink brewed in Montana that too was also outstanding and was a compliment to the food.

Great place, food is awesome. Deli is alongside Hay Camp Brewery. They bring your food over if you're on the brewery side. Will certainly be back next time I'm visiting my daughter.

Holy not prepared for a lunch crowd, Batman. We eat here frequently on the weekends, and it’s always great, even if the staff are less than friendly. Thought I’d try them for lunch, and that was big mistake. Waited 30 minutes for a sandwich. Won’t do that again.

Bashful Buffalo combines a sandwich shop with a bar, creating an eclectic atmosphere. The place is clean, and the Kölsch beer was enjoyable. However, the Buffalo burger and brisket were bland, tasting more like plain beef. The meal was expensive and did not include fries or chips. One of my sons described his burger as an overpriced hockey puck. Disappointed by misleading prior reviews, I would recommend skipping this sandwich shop.

We stopped by for lunch. My wife had the Hermosa and I had the Piedmont. The food was excellent. The bread and meats were very fresh and very high-quality. My only quibble is that the service was a little slow, but the room was pleasant and we didn’t mind waiting. Definitely a good spot for lunch in Rapid!

First time trying this Deli. I had it delivered and ordered The Spearfish and The Boxelder. Double WOW! Very good! Best sandwiches I have had in a long time. Everything was fresh. All the choices were excellent on the sandwiches. Each sandwich made 2 meals for me. I will definitely go back for more. I only wish I discovered this place sooner. I had this order delivered thus it was a little more expensive and the wait time was longer as it was delivered...no fault of this Deli. Great Place. I can't wait to try other sandwiches on the menu.
