If you like sausage gravy, this is Nirvana. Everything bite was bliss. Super friendly staff. Very generous portions and reasonable prices.

I ordered bacon and it was cooked more than I like - I normally just get on with it. I knew I’d be miserable if I did that today so I asked if they could recook it - less cooked. The staff quickly redid the order, no fuss, no quibble ❤️ The bacon and the toast was exactly as I wanted it. My breakfast (a bacon butty for those in the know) was perfect, tasted delicious and my day was set. Thank you 😊

Thank you'll for making me feel welcome the three morning I came in the food and service where Top notch. P.S tell Little Sister sorry for stirring the Pot at her second shift I may have referred to her as L. S. When I asked for her section. Thus the Eye roll

The Mud Hole advertises that they are open until 11am. However, we arrived at 10:38am and they refused to seat us or serve us because they "close at 11". Not the customer service you like to see in this day and age. I would not recommend going to this establishment & they should advertise that they're only open until 10am or serve until 10am if they refuse to serve after that. Such a disappointment!!
GREAT PLACE!!!!

What a fun little gem of a breakfast diner! The pearl sugar waffle and bacon were fantastic, and my husband said the biscuits were truly wonderful! Excellent food at very reasonable prices! Very glad we stopped at this little diner on our departure from Mt. Rushmore!

Very unusual, probably wouldn’t have even gone in, but so glad we did! Friendly staff, quick service, low price options if that’s what’s you’re after, and delicious breakfast!

Definitely an interesting little spot definitely hole in the wall not open very much only from 7 to 11:00 Monday through Friday good food like to say everything is homemade sausage patties aren't but the gravy and biscuits are awesome definitely worth it you can make it in
Nothing fancy inside, but the service and food were fantastic. Best of all, very reasonable. This place gets crowded so plan ahead. The wait is truly worth it. I will definitely stop there again before heading back home.
The down home family atmosphere is just what I want when I eat at locally owned restaurants. With the owners' kids drawing pictures while sitting a a table I knew I was at the kind of place that will be memorable for all the right reasons. I had a combo with eggs, potatoes and hash. As homespun as you can get!
