Step back in time! As you enter this establishment, you’ll be greeted with the aroma of premium cigar and pipe tobacco smoke, a collective of the patrons individual choices from the well stocked humidor! The place isn’t noisy, but has a very clean Edison vibe which takes over your cares and stresses, replacing them with a relaxation that’s hard to come by in today’s world. Large lounge chairs and couches are well situated in the historic building and ready for you to relax in while you sample the goods. Their cigar selection is above par. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The Mojito they made for my wife was good. I enjoyed hard cider on draught and a pepperoni pizza. John the bartender was helpful and knowledgeable and we felt warmly welcomed. Can’t wait to come back.

I've had the opportunity to enjoy cigars at dozens of cigar lounges all over the country. The Tinder Box Cigar Lounge in Rapid City, South Dakota is one of the best shops I've ever encountered.
They have a good selection of cigars. They have a full bar. They even have the ability to serve you a small selection of hot & tasty finger-foods from a short menu. The lounge is beautifully decorated, in addition to several big screen TV's and a large selection of seating choices, and even room choices. Each room is wonderfully decorated with lots of comfortable chairs and couches. This lounge definitely has its own unique sense of style and class.
I also love that they've prioritized keeping the atmosphere as smoke-free as possible, with a strong investment in efficient and quiet air recirculation and scrubber systems. Well done!

What a wonderful place! My partner wanted to come here for his 21st birthday while we were spending time in surrounding areas. Laura made the best drink while we were there. Her manhattan and her old fashioned are to die for! The owner chris is a sweet heart and showed my partner around the cigars and gave him a tour because the bartender was busy and we had never been there before. Very interactive with his customers. They have beautiful seating and the decor is very unique. The musicians ended up not getting to play however they did sing happy birthday to my partner and it was a great way to end the night. They have music every Saturday from 8-10, definitely check it out. Also this seems like the kind of place where you can either dress up or dress down and everyone is friendly either way. We dressed up, it was awesome to get some cool pictures with the vintage decor. Thanks for having us!

I lived in Rapid for 3 years and every time I stopped in for a cigar, it was a good experience. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the seating is comfortable and cozy, and the live music always fits the vibe perfectly. This place really is one in a million and I miss it every day I'm away.
