Valley Sports Bar & Grill

We were there with a large group on a Sunday. When we called to let them know how many we were hung up on. They told us there were too many for them to handle because they were goning to get busy with football watchers. We were asked to leave. We did and went to Smokin Joe's who accommodated us greatly.

Went to the bar to spend time with family. There were about 25 of us. We were asked to leave because they couldn't handle us all because of people coming in to watch football. If you cant handle 25 people who were visiting, having a few beers and going to eat how can you handle people who are coming to watch football.

Went into valley sports bar and shut down kind of at the end they had three people on duty and they never came to our table my friend actually ended up going to the bar to order some beers
He had to go to the bar one more time to place the order for food

After about 25 minutes then server came over and told us that our food would be coming out
So the initial experience because I was hungry I was very hungry when we went there I was getting irritated cuz it took so long to get a server and get our order in
So after the server came out we went out to smoke and when we came back our food was done it so that was less than 10 minutes so once the worst place it was goo
I went into the restroom and use the restroom and then wash my hands and the water when you turn it on to hot it was not hot at all you had to let it run for 15 you know 5 minutes something like that so it would get even warm so that's not cool
Anyway the food was very good after we got their attention we did get our food quickly but and the food was good we had cheeseburgers and you know fries and no big deal but it was good
but that's the reason for the low review is the service there was three people working in there and none of them three people and the bartender
The one of them had to notice us coming in so that was and they weren't that busy

I have been going to The Valley Sports bar for years and I have to say that everyone that works there has served me multiple times and they all do an awesome job as well as the cooks. As anyone in the service industry they all may have their off days because they aren't robots and have to deal with some very difficult people who can't control themselves when they drink to much. I'm making this review because I noticed a review that striked me in a way because I know that the bartenders and servers at the valley do not just yell at customers because they don't tip!! I'm going to add the screen shot of the review that Steve decided to leave six days ago because I have to make sure that everyone knows that he wasnt told to leave and wasnt yelled at because he didn't tip. I was a witness in the bar when this situation happened.... what happened is he decided to fall asleep at the bar and the bartender gave him a couple chances before he started mouthing off at her and when some younger gentlemen stood up for her he turned and decided to yell at them as well. At this point turtle the barteender decided that it was enough and thru him out. Very understandable. So Steve before you try to smear a bar and say terrible things to try and mess up their busniess..make sure that a regular that has been going for years isn't watching!!! There are many of us that will stick up for them! Turtle, Sam, Brandyn, Jen, Kristy, Dawn, Pat, Cne, Trish and the newer servers and bartenders I don't see very often and the cooks you have all done a fantastic job!!!
Turtle this is for you....you did the right thing, he's just mad because you called him out! 🙄

If you don't tip, they will kick you out. Shitty service, the worst service I've ever had in my life. After I gave no tip the bartender blew up on me and kicked me out after yelling at the top of her lungs... Don't go her if you want customer service, your order taken, or nice staff.

Coldest beer in town and also have the best food. Fast friendly service!! About the only mah and pop feeling experience you will encounter in Rapid City! I love this place!

Really dark place. Great service and nice enough place. Think they need to pay the cleaning staff a bit better - from looks of the floor, it hasn’t been vacuumed in quite a while. Food was mediocre at best. No flavor and not very good portions. Our server was a clean cut young man who was very attentive and friendly.

We are from out of town and wasn’t sure what to expect but the food was fast and delicious with good prices and big portion sizes. Trish our waitress was very attentive and friendly. She did a great job! Exactly what we needed after a hot day at the baseball field.

The atmosphere is great Jennifer always notices customers as they walk in and greets you with a nice HELLO, as far as cleanliness it could use a layer or two of dust removed from shelves, restrooms need a freshen up each shift at least wipe down mirrors etc. AND the cigarette butts that r all around the parking lot does not say much for the business ashtrays need to be checked throughout the day on all employees not just who opens and closes. It is a pleasant place to go to relax and have a brewsky and visit w the staff or friends.

We go every week on Thursday's to eat, drink & to do our football picks.. it's a fun place to hang out & the bartender make good drinks, the waitresses are very friendly

I called them last night to see if they were showing the UFC fights and the reply I got was "no we don't show the pay per view fights the best place to get them is... get them yourself." Followed by being hung up on. A quick google search before the phone call said they do show them so I figured it wouldn't hurt to double check. I was looking for somewhere to go out, have some food and drinks, and have some fun but I will never try going there again. I've heard great things about their food too. Such a shame.

Love a good neighborhood bar. Food was pretty good, service was quite good. A fun well-loved sports bar. Looks like a good place to park it for NFL Sundays.
