Highly recommend Baking up a Storm! I have bought Alex's
pastries and loved them! Most impressive I bought his holiday baking tray! Can't wait to go back and enjoy more of his creations!!! The view overlooking Lake Lorraine would be fun to stay, sit and eat!

Alex catered our wedding for us last weekend, and his desserts were a hit! He offers multiple packages, but at the end of the day, I had a specific vision for what I wanted for desserts, and he was extremely easy to work with to make that happen. He also was able to accommodate food allergies for our guests. He delivered the desserts to our venue in Sioux Falls without any extra fee or hassle, and we got exactly what we ordered. Would recommend!!!

I went specifically for kolaches. They are not kolaches at all...the dough is similar to pretzel bread. I has highly disappointed. It's a fruit pastry but far from a kolaches. On to the next bakery...

This has to be one of the most disappointing reviews that I have left on a business. I was browsing around different bakery options to prepare a cake for my birthday, and was excited to find this small local business that had just opened up in a developing part of town.

The price seemed expensive over the phone, $80+ for an 8 inch red velvet cake. That said, I was running short on time and I thought it would be nice to give a new business a shot. Surely, a cake at that price would be good quality and something for my family to enjoy on my birthday.

The first thing we noticed when picking up the cake was that it was fairly short. Then, we saw the top of the cake and were astonished at the white lettering used on the white cake. The only explanation offered was that it's cream cheese frosting. The lettering on the cake was clearly rushed and misaligned, and did not reflect professional work. We didn't have time to explore any other options, so I went through with the order hoping that the taste could make up for the appearance (surely at $85!).

By the time we got the cake ready to eat at the party, I took it out of the box and noticed it was dilapidated (one side was clearly taller than the other). The taste of the cake unfortunately did nothing to redeem it. Though the texture of the cake itself was nice, the cream cheese frosting did not have the thick texture that I would hope for, and both the cake and frosting seemed largely devoid of flavor. Many people at the party refused to finish their slice and we ultimately discarded the leftover parts of the cake. If the taste of the cake had gotten anywhere close to reflecting the price, this review could have been a higher score. That said, the presentation got the cake off to a bad start and the taste had no redeeming qualities. This was ordered on short notice, but this experience means I will not be returning here and would not recommend it to anyone else.

Stopped by to pick up something sweet after lunch. Tried a German chocolate cupcake and a slice of rhubarb bread. Both were sooooo good!!! Already ordered a loaf of rhubarb bread for this weekend. Can't wait to try their lunch menu!!

Got a Too Good To Go box and it was my first time trying them. 5 different baked goods and everything was excellent! Great variety of treats for the price. I will be back again, guaranteed.

Great spot overlooking Lake Lorraine. We had the breakfast burrito and breakfast quesadilla. Great prices for a delicious quick breakfast.

I just enjoyed the best cinnamon roll I have ever had in my entire life. So so good!

Great place fur baby friendly the pastries put the other places in town to shame Danish was so fresh and flaky it melted in my mouth cupcakes were dense and rich frosting was rich and creamy. Oh My they are so much better than another popular place in town

I just ordered a toffee cheesecake and it was absolutely great. I would highly recommend it. Service was very personable and accommodating with my order. I look forward to trying more of what they have to offer.

We love Baking Up Storm! Alex did our wedding desserts, which were a HUGE hit and so good! But don’t sleep on his breakfast and lunch food! His sandwiches are awesome!
