Our first visit to Big Sioux Burger a few months ago was pleasant and the food was decent, but this review is specifically about the morning of November 16, 2025. My wife and I walked in and seated ourselves, as the sign suggested. The booth looked perfectly clean and ready, but the waitress immediately complained that she hadn't finished bussing that booth and proceeded to wipe it again. We both ordered coffee and water. She brought water for both of us but coffee only for me. I gave my coffee to my wife, and figured I'd get another one when next the waitress stopped by. She never did. After waiting about 10 minutes I made sure to catch her attention, but even after she clearly looked at me she still took care of 4 or 5 more tables. I counted 3 more times of her walking right past our booth without so much as telling us she'll be there soon, and then we walked out. The waitress saw us packing up our things but made no attempt to apologize or ask us why we were leaving, in fact it looked like she was glad to see us leave.
I'm always hesitant to make things about race, but my wife is African American, and when wait staff is this obviously unwilling to serve her, it's difficult not to come to certain conclusions. Sadly this experience has turned us off permanently from Big Sioux Burger, even though we've experienced other wait staff that was helpful and courteous. We won't be back.

The house burger is a must-try it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, and the service is fast. I eat here about once a week, and their rewards program is a great bonus. Highly recommend!

Food was fantastic and Carissa was our waitress on Halloween night and was fantastic as well. We had our 3 kids with and she was great at helping to get them to eat and just keeping them entertained. Great family friendly restaurant!

They don't answer their phone and I assume because they were slammed but when I got there, only 2 groups of people were eating. The food was extremely salty to where the potato tots were inedible. :( The mushrooms were good though. The girl working also seemed annoyed that I was there to pick up an order that I placed. I don't know why the service is not good. I felt like a burden walking in.

came here special on a Saturday night for karoake. made 40th birthday plans to specifically go there for karoake. everywhere online advertised Saturday karoake. even called a week ahead to confirm there was karoake. do you think there was karoake? of course not. we arrived and they said "we decided this week to not have karoake on Saturday anymore". Who does that? after that disappointment and then reading the food reviews I will not be back.

We have come here a lot and it is always under staffed. The people working do a very good job but are always overwhelmed. The food is good but the staffing need more help.
We enjoy breakfast here but for some reason the morning staff is always late.

Service was atrocious. Every aspect was slow from even being acknowledged we walked in to ordering drinks & then food. My wife ordered a vodka cran & got a vodka lemonade instead. She told the waitress & she said sorry you can have that one, I'll get you the right one! Only problem is my wife hates lemon & never did get her correct drink at all!!! The burgers, fries & tots were good but not as big or full of toppings like in the pics.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t let myself be influenced by someone that might’ve had a bad experience.
And im not implying that the person is lying, but if you really, really, really wanna know how something tastes, you need to actually bite it! I always like to try it my self before I can make any judgement.
For starters you can’t beat the place! The place is located on the steel District next to the Silver river with all those new and beautiful areas everywhere you look!
The atmosphere it’s the perfect sports bar meets 70s lodge, with breakfast until 5 PM and burger specials everyday Not to mention, happy hour and karaoke on the weekends!
And maybe it’s because I went on a slow day, but Amanda, my server was very attentive, always looking out and make sure that my glasses is always full because I need my drinks If you know what I’m talking about.
And for food, I have one of the best burgers in a while. I have chicken burger with cucumber salad, and Thai peanut sauce. You can actually taste each ingredient in every bite!!!! My fave!!!! THAI CHICKEN BURGER.
So make sure you’re going with an open mind (and did I get to mention the prices? The prices are low and I mean low for this area. !

The atmosphere and staff was great but the food was sorely lacking. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger. It was dry and the mushrooms and Swiss cheese were almost non existent. We were told everything was made in house and then we got a bag of commercial kettle chips for our side? The French onion dip did not look appetizing and tasted sour, as well as being topped with bacon bits from a jar! The rest of the table had similar feelings about their food and it was the general consensus that we will not be coming back.
