I sometimes bake my own bread. One time, I used rancid flour. The bread is safe to eat, but it has an "off" smell and it tastes bitter. This is the smell I encountered at Breadsmith. Unfortunately, the bread had a bitter taste like the flour is going bad. This shouldn't happen if the business consists of baking and selling bread. I was hoping I was wrong because making my own bread is more than I want to do most of the time. The chew was great. I like a little darker with more crisp/crunch on the crust.A bad batch of flour will leave a bad taste in your mouth.

I've never had anything from here I didn't like. The best molasses cookies! My favorite is the cheddar jalapeño bread on Saturdays! They give out samples of 2 or 3 of their products daily! Highly recommend!!

Recently purchased 2 Baguettes and some cookies for our family festivities over the Thanksgiving holiday. Needless to say both were fantastic and delicious! The kids actually LOVED the maple glazed Cookies the best! We’ll be stopping in again for our next bread and bakery needs!

Best homemade bread in Sioux Falls! Love the daily loafs (country buttertop is a weekly buy for me) and most of their specialty loafs. Make sure to grab a calendar so you know which day to stop in.
