The bar only seated two spots, even though there was room for plenty more -- not very welcoming to a single diner. The tempura asparagus was tasty enough. Unfortunately half the asparagus was inedible because they fried up both the tender, edible spear tips, and also fried up the chewy, stringy base of the spear. Who does this? Teach your cooks that when you snap an asparagus spear in in half, throw the base away into the compost bin. Don't batter it up and fry it. What a...
Minus some grizzle on the waygu sirloin, the food was delicious and well prepared. The timing of the dishes could have been slower paced so I didn't feel so rushed. But overall it was a great experience.
Food and service was fantastic. Olivia was our server and was super attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was ok. Some great elements like roses on every table and the chairs are cozy and comfortable. The building itself is old and charming. With such an elevated menu though the lighting was inconsistent and the neon signs and brighter lights in places are not necessary. That said, it's very approachable. The French onion soup and the beef Wellington were our favorites!
