I don’t normally leave bad reviews, first our drink order took almost 30 minutes to come… I was brought the wrong beer, but I drank it anyway. I ordered mahi mahi tacos…. They were awful. The fish was way overcooked and dry and wayyyyy over seasoned. The rice and beans were fine. I remember when chevys first opened years ago, one of the better restaurants in Sioux Falls. I won’t ever return there.

This restaurant was clean. Clean bathrooms. Family-friendly, kid friendly atmosphere. There's plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Our waiter was very friendly but didn't ask if we wanted refills, so I drank my husbands water. The food needed a little more flavor. Salt helped a little, I'm having to watch my salt intake. My rice and charro beans were cold. The queso dip was delicious! My fajitas plate was a combination of beef and chicken with a cheese enchilada. It was good. Other than some of it being cold. This is a nicely decorated restaurant.

I have always loved Chevy's, but today was my last visit. Our waitress was in a rush, she was not interested in giving us the best service and she was not cordial to us. We were not asked for the size of our beers either the type of beans we wanted. The food was disappointing, portion size and flavor. And then I get home and all my clothes smell like grease, disgusting. I think that's the reason the restaurant wasn't full for a Friday at 6 pm.

I haven't eaten here for months due to a bad experience thought I would give them another try for a takeout order. The chicken from my fajitas was not fully cooked, the rice tasted like leftover rice, and the tortilla tasted like a store-bought tortilla. With more Mexican restaurants coming to Sioux Falls, I could totally see this place shutting down.

We were there on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t busy at all, and now I see why! Food was terrible and cold. Everything was tasteless, even the salsa is different now. Jalapeño “jelly” was watered down and more like soup. We used to like stopping here occasionally for a margarita and some chips & salsa and flautas.

I usually go there for The chili con queso and fresh tortillas. I was disappointed The chili con queso wasn't as good and the tortillas tasted like store bought tortillas. (No fluff)

Tonight I went to Chevys for my daughters birthday but unfortunately the food and service ruined the night.
They had no rice, the tamales were raw, the chicken was charred and the cook mansplained the situation to my daughter, and the rest of the food was low quality. No refills on sodas (which were in cans.) I really hope something changes
The managers and waiters were so rude.

Been going to Chevys for years and have always loved it, but the last three times we’ve been here within the past few months the food has been disappointing. Always used to get the fajita salad or chicken flautas and the chicken has been burnt on the salad and the flautas are just full of cheese, no chicken. Went there today for chips, salsa, and quesadilla. The salsa was very watered down with no flavor. Not sure what’s changed in the past few months but sad as this used to be my favorite place. Now I need to find a new favorite!
