Cody's is permanently closed. And I have to write fifty five more characters to let you know they are permanently closed.

My first time there and my last. The bartender was very inattentive. I was the only one at the bar but she spent her time and attention on other workers. Food was just so-so. Not worth the money and not worth another visit.

I have been coming here on and off for years but tonight was way off. I got burnt ends and brisket, I snapped a picture of the green, cold, dried burnt ends which tasted like stale beef (brisket was the same consistency as well - I fear I will end getting sick from this (just left about an hour ago!) Usually great food but this needs to be shown.

Cody’s is one of our most frequent stops in Sioux Falls! Their bbq pork, brisket and turkey are all outstanding! Portions are very generous. Sides of cornbread tops and beans are delicious. I recently bought a whole smoked brisket and 3 lbs of smoked turkey for our early family Christmas. The order was ready to go when I had requested pickup. They even included a large foil roasting pan for warm up along with the directions. I warmed the brisket at 250° for four hours, I warmed the 3 pounds of turkey for two hours at 250°. Everything was perfectly warm, tender and juicy. I would definitely recommend Cody’s.

I ordered wings for something different. The menu board listed them as being 10 piece, but the counter person asked if I wanted 5 or 10 pieces. I ordered the 10 piece, not expecting much. I also ordered the the Asian sauce, expecting a sweet chili sauce. The sauce actually more of a teriyaki glaze. It was really good. The wings themselves were HUGE. The drummy pieces were the size of a small chicken leg, and the other wing part was also very meaty.

Meat platters of Burnt ends, pulled chicken, chopped pork, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, French fries, onion rings and garlic bread were all amazing in taste, flavors and portions.

Cody's was a pleasant surprise. The food prices were very reasonable, our waitress was from New Jersey and she made our experience a blast. We had a couple mixed drinks and they were on point. The ribs were some of the best I have had and the sides were plentiful to choose from. We for sure will be back.

Regular lunch customer here!Usually get the rib platter - and it is so delicious! Couple times have gotten ribs that are tough - but mostly wonderful - wish they would put sauce right on the ribs though. Sides are scrumptious - beans, potato casserole, YUMCornbread muffin tops are a whole other level - sweet, a tiny bit of crispy on the top, and the honey butter is a perfect topping. My Favorite!

I had a full rack of ribs, baked beans and Mac and cheese. All I did was add bbq sauce to the ribs and baked beans and it was excellent.

I found the food to be very good. The quality is pretty good. The cleanliness of the place was really very good. I typically see something obvious in most places that needs improvement however here I didn't see anything that needed to be cleaned. So an A+ in my book.

Best BBQ I have had. I love coming here. Yeah it may be a bit more cost wise, but compared to other BBQ places it's not. Staff is excellent as well. Also have a bar too.

Have lunch there every week and never disappointed. However the few times I've been there for dinner it seems the lunch crowd got the best of the menu and the dinner crowd got leftovers. Neither hot nor fresh, kind of disappointing after I talked them up for their fantastic lunch.

I have been working in Sioux Falls for a month and a half. To say I am a BBQ snob would be an understatement. I lived in KC for 10 years and there is not very many of the bbq joints there that I haven’t tried. Anyway, I asked a couple of locals what the story was with Cody’s BBQ. I drove by it a few times. The two people I asked said they both weren’t big bbq people so they had never eaten there. I decided to to check it out. I had a two meat platter, brisket and sausage, fries and beans. The sausage was good. It was cooked right had good flavor. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite sausage ever but that was totally a personal opinion based on the flavor profile I am use to. I would definitely eat it again. The brisket was hands down the star of the show though!! It was freaking awesome!! Tender, juicy and had a nice smoke flavor as well. I wasn’t expecting to get that kind of BBQ in Sioux Falls SD! I would put that brisket up against most brisket I have eaten in KC! Bean and fries were good too. This is a gem in Sioux Falls in my opinion. I will go back and try more of their bbq for sure.
