Fuji Sushi & Hibachi Grill

We’ve always loved Fuji Sushi and Hibachi for both the food and service, but this recent visit was disappointing.

When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The server then took names, but although we were there first, another group of the same size was sat ahead of us. We were seated on the hibachi side instead of the sushi side (where we came for) because there was no more room. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because the hibachi chef was fantastic — fun, engaging, and made the kids’ night!

Unfortunately, the service from our actual server was lacking. Everyone at the hibachi table who ordered sushi received their food, except for mine and my husband’s rolls. They didn’t come out until about 20 minutes later, by which time most people were finishing up. During all that time, our server never once checked on us. When she finally brought the rolls, she returned just a few minutes later with boxes and checks, without asking if the food was okay or if we wanted dessert. It was my birthday celebration, and we had planned on ordering dessert, but it was clear she was ready to move us out, so we went elsewhere for that.

The food itself was, as always, delicious and beautifully prepared, but the service this time left so much to be desired. I hope this was just an off night, because we’ve always had great experiences here before.

Best sushi in all of Sioux falls. Wife and I have been searching for a year and finally found it! I come here constantly because attitudes from the workers are great and they treat you with kindness and respect when you walk in the door. I recommend this place to anyone. And if you've had one bad experience, don't let that ruin it for you forever. this place is worth another shot!

UPDATE: This place is still as advertised in my previous review. Love it and am so grateful I found a place like this for my family and I to enjoy together and appreciate.

Loved this spot, felt welcomed. Lady that helped was sweet. Being away from home is always challenging to find a good sushi spot, but this one was perfect.

Always a great experience! My wife and I have been here with a large group as well as with just each other and we're never disappointed. Holidays can be quite busy and I recommend staying away on Valentines Days just because of the long wait times, but the food is great, the Hibachi is classic and entertaining and the prices are reasonable. The sushi is clearly fresh and never disappoints! The noodle option that you get with the Hibachi is a game-changer and we will always pick place over the others.

We had a wide variety of dishes and all were cooked perfectly. The portions were quite large and we ended up taking loads home which was great. The chef certainly made it a fun experience and would he back.

Bad service. The waitress was not friendly. They added the tip automatically which was very rude. The food taste yuck. The ramen terrible and all fast junk throwing in the pot. Expensive 50$ for pork ramen and teriyaki steak rice. We will never be back. The teriyaki dish was all dipped fry food and the steak were so dried over done.

The other day I ordered food over the phone but received the wrong food. I didn’t realize until I got home and it was close to closing time. The next day I ordered the same thing again because I love their Volcano roll. I told the lady that works there what happened and I just thought mistakes happen. As long as I get the right food this time I was okay with paying for it again. But with no more questions asked she didn’t make me pay. I just wanted to say thank you so much I was having the worst day ever but your simple kindness and trust made my day and I enjoyed the sushi!!

Not only was ordering on the app easy, but they sent me a text when my order was due which was 10 minutes early! The sushi is great! Paradise is my favorite! Something about that banana! Queen roll was great. Godzilla is an oldie but a goodie! Best deal! Great job!

Birthday dinner with group, took bill and divided equally not per couple or person so each paid more than their share!!! Order of food served at different times so 1 or 2 people done or food cold by the time the others dinner was prepared 🤔
