Great place for dinner and a beer after a long drive! Pet friendly on the patio which was great.. friendly staff, great service and food! I’ll be back if I’m in the area again

We have enjoyed many good meals at Granite City during the week and had never tried the Lawless Brunch. Boy, we're we disappointed for the price. Shrimp and sesame chicken were so over cooked, you could barely chew them. The prime rib was cooked a beautiful medium rare, but the cut of meat was 80% fat and gristle. Of the large slab I was given, I had only 4 edible bites and it took more effort to cut it than to eat it. The omelet station was wonderful and the Bloody Mary with beer chaser also excellent. Buffet was very heavy on pastry items and not enough lunch choices. And absolutely no desserts offered. Our server Nick was great! Service on the buffet was slow with people having to wait for more plates and more dishes to be replenished. I was glad we had a BOGO offer because even at half price, we felt a bit ripped off. I'll stick with their weekday menus from now on.

Our waitress was great, knowledgeable & friendly. Food was good, my husband had a chicken sandwich & said the chicken was kind of rubbery/chewy. Still would love to see Zug Zwang back!

The Octoberfest menu is amazing, from the appetizer, to the main course, and definitely the bread pudding dessert was fanominal. Amazing service with great atmosphere, oh yeah the Octoberfest drinks are unreal also. 😍

We came in with a group of seven, three of whom have gluten allergies. One of the salads was served with croutons even though it was specifically ordered without. It was sent back, and we asked for a completely new salad. When the replacement arrived, he started eating and discovered another crouton hidden inside. This made it clear that the kitchen likely just removed the croutons instead of preparing a fresh salad, which is extremely disappointing. Thankfully, the allergies in our group are not severe, but for someone with a serious allergy, this could have been a dangerous situation. On top of that, when it came time for the bill, we had to wait quite a while, and then were simply handed one check and told to split it ourselves. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and careless.

Not our best experience. The food was so-so and service was poor. We decided to have dessert and our server, Kassandra, went missing for 20 minutes. In the meantime I cleared the dishes to another table since nobody else was going to do it. We finally got dessert and were happy to leave and not come back.

It was quite busy and appeared to be understaffed, but these days, who isn't. Overall, good experience and our server did the best she could with what she was up against. Food was good so no real complaints here.

Reservations always seat on time, service outstanding, we go quite often because of the menu, the food is delicious and most important to us is the staff is welcoming and friendly

Very dirty restaurant. Service was ok, food was not near as good as other granite city's. Very dirty.

Incorrect order for one of us. It took 25 minutes to correct. Waiter wasn't paying very close attention so it took way to long to refill beverages. Thre restaurant and bar didn't seem to be be super busy. We have eaten there many times and enjoyed it. They seemed to be having an off night.

There were six of us last night, my brother and sister-in-law flew in from Georgia and they wanted to go somewhere. They don't have there so I took him to Granite city the food was amazing. My husband said his waffle fries were cold and soggy. The waiter we had was not very friendly. Got upset with my husband who's hard of hearing because he was in the military for 24 years and it was loud in there. He was Very rude to him when he was trying to order. He did ask us about refills or dessert. He wasn't happy when I asked for a refill of water, so nobody ask for another drink or refill on their soda. We will go back because the food is great, but if he's our waiter, we're gonna ask for another one.

The service was excellent. It was greatly appreciated with the family there to be able to enjoy the meal and not have to worry about anything. We were taken care of.
