Excellent authentic Ethiopian food with huge portions and great prices. We also got the traditional coffee service with incense and popcorn. What a unique experience; we now have a new favorite coffee shop as well as restaurant so we will be back often.Vegetarian options: Great restaurant for vegetarians and meat lovers alike!

I only leave a review when something is either very good or very bad. The service here is terrible.My partner and I have dined in here multiple times and ordered takeout. He ordered food today and was so disappointed with his treatment. The lady behind the counter barely acknowledged him, took the order and before he could finish (he wanted to order coffee too), started speaking to another lady behind him in Ethiopian. He received his food AFTER several other people who seemed to be regulars. It is so sad because he always makes a huge effort to learn about other cultures and knows parts of at least eight different languages to be able to greet people. He has many friends of different cultures. If you've had a bad experience with a customer, please don't take it out on others who would only ever treat you with love and respect.We still love the food. Go to Lalibela, they are wonderful all-round and so friendly. Also the African Market on 18th for injera and spices.

This review is really about the food. Stopped in for dinner tonight and got the vegetarian exclusive (#16). I love authentic ethnic food and it’s been a while since I’ve had exceptional authentic African cuisine. The depth and diversity of flavors on my plate were ridiculously out of this world. I’ll be back, often.

Everything was great but their prices are higher than those posted on the menu! 41% higher and the wait staff don't seem to care. No verbal warning, no stickers on the menu, no warning sign (in English anyway). Unacceptable esp. in a tourism driven state!
