We went here for a couple of birthday celebrations. We had the best experience! Service is immaculate. Food is decadent. Drinks are refreshing and hand crafted. Definitely a go to spot for celebrations or just to have a nice dinner party. The atmosphere is very classy and it over looks the falls which adds to the ambiance.
We have such an amazing time every time we come here. The servers are knowledgeable the bartenders are prompt.
I had a dessert martini “Pams Chocolate Martini”. Pams own personal creation. It was clear in color and had a shaved chocolate rim. The taste was like biting into a moist piece of chocolate cake. No bitter alcohol taste. Very smooth to drink. I highly recommend asking for one as a night cap.
Over all, Ironwood has been my favorite place to go for celebrations and a place to wow my friends and family. Sioux Falls NEEDED a place like Ironwood. Classy, affordable and friendly.

We had a fantastic brunch ! The outdoor patio was perfect comfortably shaded and super pet friendly, which made it even better since I brought my dogs along. The staff was so thoughtful and even brought out water bowls for them.
As for the food and drinks, everything was spot on. The Belgian waffles were delicious crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside and paired perfectly with our refreshing drinks and quiche. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a sunny morning.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great brunch with good vibes, great service, and a dog-friendly patio! Ironwood Steakhouse
*** I had to update my review because I have sent went back and the service is phenomenal*****
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Experience at Ironwood Steakhouse (Steel District)
Ironwood Steakhouse absolutely delivered. We tried the scallops, octopus, mushroom pierogies Brussel sprouts, and dessert and every single dish impressed.
The scallops are hands down the best I’ve had in town. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor. The mushroom pierogies were so good I will 100% be ordering them again next time no question. I was a little afraid to try the octopus however it was incredible !! We even ended up swapping dishes with the incredibly kind people sitting next to us, trading our octopus for their pierogies, which made the experience even more fun and memorable.
The bar staff is amazing, the management is elite, and the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous elegant but welcoming. Service was flawless from start to finish. You truly get nothing but 10/10 service here every time.
Ironwood is doing everything right. Highly recommend.

This is quite possibly the best meal experience I've ever had in my life! Service was amazing and knowledgeable. Drinks were delicious. Nice bread. Perfectly cooked steaks and side. Amazing lemon cake! I am not used to fine dining but it definitely was that. Gorgeous view of the SF Falls out the window. I wish I could afford to come here more often! This is my new go to special occasion restaurant!

We went here for our 25th anniversary. We arrived early so sat at the bar. The best seat in the house is at the bar watching them cook and plate food! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were then seated upstairs and had an amazing view of the falls park lights. The food was to die for. Spendy but worth the experience!
This was my second visit to Ironwood and I was disappointed after having a really nice first visit.
Let me explain.
My wife and I tried Ironwood for the first time in October. We made a reservation, we were warmly greeted, and we were sat downstairs. Our first experience was basically a 10/10. The dining area we were sat downstairs was quiet, the view spectacular, and our service was impeccable. I wish I remembered the name of the young man who waited on us, he was fantastic. The food was great (although the oysters seem like they are pre-shucked and dry! Shuck them on the fly!) and we had great cocktails and wine. We basically couldn't have been happier after our first visit.
We just visited again, and did not have the same experience. My daughter, who just turned 6, and I share a birthday. My wife and I took my mother and daughter for a birthday meal a couple days ago and we left feeling pretty dissapointed. We thought it would be fun for our little girl, who is very well behaved, to a fancy dinner.
The issues started with the reservation. My wife called 48 hours prior to request a reservation at 6:30pm on a Thursday and to request a window seat. Nobody called back. Finally, the night of, after calling and leaving more messages we got a hold of someone and had to settle for 7:30pm and no window. Not a huge deal, but frustrating as we have a younger child and wanted an earlier reservation.
This visit we were seated upstairs. The upstairs dining room is a stark contrast from downtairs. Not all seats have a great view, it's loud, and the atmosphere was not nearly as upscale as it was downstairs. Not a huge deal, but a totally different feel than we were expecting. We honestly couldn't have a normal conversation without raising our voices, it was way too loud. Bass bumping music playing, it was a weird vibe upstairs...
The real issue for us was the timing. It seemed like we were being overlooked, maybe because we brought a child? We ordered appetizers, entrees and dessert and we were probably there for over 2.5 hours. Everything just took too long. It wasn't an issue of them coursing out our meal at a leisurely pace, it was poorly timed. There were also a few server mistakes, spilled drinks on table, wrong wine delivered, unclear description for my mother who is gluten free(she was missing components that were described as gluten free), and they forgot my cappuccino at the end. None of these are a huge deal by themselves, but when you are charging $75-100+ per person, it feels like a slight when added together.
The food was not quite as good as our first visit. We ordered appetizers, including the bone marrow. The marrow was lukewarm when it arrived and was solidified, not a great texture. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were quite frozen. Also my red wine was very warm, way above acceptable temperature. And again, the oysters seemed like they were shucked in advance as they seemed dry. The steak tartar was great. Entrees: the half chicken was cooked to perfection, it was excellent. My steak Diane was really good and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were wondeful too, but I only got a half portion as they ran out! (They didn't charge for the half portion of potatoes). We ordered the burger (without onions, but it still came with onions!) for our daughter and it was dissapointing, it was kind of dry.
Our server (and the staff overall) was very kind, and professional, and apologetic for the mistakes, but the service was nowhere near the level we experienced our first visit. It's unfortunate because we had really been hyping Ironwood and now I feel dissapointed. If this review had been made after our initial visit, it would have been 5 stars across the board. We will definitely be back, but we will make sure we reserve a table downstairs!

My boyfriend and I had reservations at 8pm, did not get to sit at our table until 9pm. Thankfully there were two spots open at the bar to get a drink in the meantime. Once we sat down it took while for our food to come, i ordered my steak medium and it came out deep purple in the middle. I kindly asked our server to send it back to get it cooked longer as it looked rare to me. I showed this same picture that is attached to family and friends after and they agreed it looked rare and not medium like i ordered. The server said that is normal for that cut of steak to look that color and he told me it was medium and would not send it back when i asked very nicely. The lobster mac and cheese was amazing but disappointed on how long we waited for our table that was a scheduled reservation and the server dismissing me as I asked for the steak to be cooked longer as it was very mushy in the middle.

Food was amazing! Ribeye was perfectly cooked and tender with the flavor bursting throughout. Fries and salad were also just full of flavors and extremely well put together.
Amazing views of the falls.
Alex did a great job as our server.
A wonderful date and place to get out of the dreary weather.

I ordered the Steak Diane and it was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend had the agnolotti and it was amazing. Our waitress, Carissa, was stellar. Definitely give this place a try — it’s worth every penny.

Excellent food but service errors could’ve been easily corrected. Didn’t feel appreciated. If we ever go back for Lobster & Cheese Dip & Loaded Potato Pave, sit at bar & examine bread to confirm hair-free! Restaurant design odd, 5-6 steps down to bar, no wait seating, lack of bathrooms to support number of people if there is an event, etc. Not handicap friendly.
6:30 PM reservation made 10/30/25 for 11/8/25 dinner. Requested window with water view.
Arrived at 6 PM for drink before dinner, told host we’d be at the bar. Had a great time at bar, bartender was great!
Waited until 6:40 PM, a server offered to check, told the table was almost cleared & be ready as we walked to host desk.
Waited in host desk area, no place to sit & wait in this area. Had ankle surgery & had to sit on the dirty steps. Finally seated at 6:50 PM.
Restaurant has 2 levels, table was on 2nd floor, we took elevator. Table next to window but 1 seat faced window and 1 faced away -right through server doors. Why not turn the table so both seats are next to window?
Bathrooms – 2 single bathrooms 1st floor. Couldn’t use bathrooms upstairs due to event. 2-floors using 2 single stall bathrooms on the 1st floor!! Husband was third in line for the bathrooms, had to wait 15 min.
Bread brought to table, husband found hair cooked into crush of bread! Got attention of man dressed in suit. Didn’t offer any reaction or apology. Watched his interaction with serving team, still nothing.
Appetizer Lobster & Cheese Dip – excellent!
Ordered 6oz Filet Mignon and Loaded Potato Pave – excellent BUT we had to ask for steak knives….at a steakhouse!!!
Dessert chocolate cake – excellent.
Waited by host desk for ride home. 3 workers & man in the suit - No conversation “how was dinner”, or anything.
Spent almost $300 with a hair and nothing was offered. Acknowledge issue, crack a joke, maybe offer drink or something. It was our anniversary, and a person doesn’t forget these types of service errors or hair issue!

Everything was executed perfectly. Had the wagyu, ribeye, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, lobster mac and cheese and finished off with the carrot cake. Worth the prices, so glad we have this option in Sioux Falls. Can’t wait to return and try more.
