Johnny Carinos holds a special place in our hearts, not specifically the SF location but the Fargo location which now is closed permanently. It's the place we had our first date, where he proposed, and where I told him we were expecting our daughter. This past weekend we just had to go to the Sioux Falls location and have supper. It was fairly busy when we got there around 7:30pm. The Manager was working the front, the bar, and also serving. He was great with all the customers. Our meal came out promptly and was delicious. I would recommend this location to friends and we plan to go back again in the future.

Had to order 3 times. Each time I ordered they came back and said they couldn't make it. First was the ribeye...second was the timballo...finally settled on a sad plate of spaghetti noodles with sauce. Wonder why the give you an entire menu when you can only have like 9 things off of it. Food was not worth the price. Will never go back

Food is subpar for the price and that is only for what you might be able to get off the menu. Tried ordering a steak...came back and said they couldn't make it. ok..why have it on the menu then? Settled for the timballo instead...waiter came back again and said no..can't make that either. Settled for a sad plate of noodles with sauce. Kids ordered pizza and said they weren't sure they could make that either. Will NEVER go back!

We stopped in to have lunch two couples in the whole restaurant. This was at 12noon which I guess should have been the first red flag ! But we had never been at Johnny Carino's and we wanted to give it a try. Both my husband and I did the meals build your own pasta bowl. Which the price was fair 13.99 I chose Alfredo and he chose Penne with meatballs. I was about four bites into my meal and when I noticed a odd texture in my mouth. Along with one of the noodles I pulled out a long drak hair out of my mouth! The waitress came over asked if I needed a box? No, there was a hair in my meal and I'm not paying for this . And here is the noodle and hair so you can show your Manger. Victoria or waitress walks back to the kitchen which is open to the customers view. Standing in front of the kitchen staff in the dinning area and yells. The lady setted over there found a hair in her meal and doesn't want to pay for it !
I'm like that really just didn't happen 😕 Then here comes this guy, not sure who he was never introduced himself just stated. You will pay for one meal but not the meal with the issue and walked away. The whole time he never made eye contact with my husband or myself ! Waitress comes back and asked if we would like dessert? I just about laughed! And after paying our bill she had the nerve to put her hand on my shoulder hoping my day would get better !?!

Essentially this is like an upgraded Olive Garden. Food is great. Plenty of parking and wonderful staff.

My fiance ordered the 8oz ribeye and potatoes. The steak was suppose to be mid rare and the steak came out completely raw. The center wasn’t even warm. The manager took it, cooked it to rare not medium rare and we decided at that point we didn’t want it. He ate the potatoes though and split my lasagna. The manager took off the steak but charged us the 3.94 for the few red potatoes. Really disappointing come from Iowa and choosing this establishment for dinner. We won’t be back.

it had been years since we had been there. service was good, food was good but the sound all around us became too much for my son. he's 15 months and he was putting his hands over his ears. the combination of everyone talking around us and the music just became too much for him. I will admit it was a bit over stimulating.

Just went for dinner. Chicken Marsala HORRIBLE!! Took one bite and the so called wine sauce was COMPLETELY conjeled and tasted of pure fat!! Nauseous and sent back and requested no further service due to nausea. Worst food I have Ever eaten!!!! Heads to— DO NOT eat this here. The food was atrocious and nauseous.
