Food was very good. Nice opener with chips and salsa (and a weird tartar sauce type dip). One order incorrect - beans instead of rice & cheese quesadilla instead of chicken- still good. Beans were better than the rice anyway. Recommend the birria tacos. Not happy about the credit card 3% upcharge, who carries cash these days? Based on that I probably wouldn’t return.

Just stopped here for a date night. We were seated and served our drinks and chips and salsa (which were ok). Then we sat there for 20 minutes without any help. When I tried to flag down a waiter he shrugged me off and said just a minute. I was quite disappointed. I’m sure the food is ok but the service is absolutely terrible.

Just left. Extremely disappointed. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks. After asking for the drinks, they then up charged us and brought us two 20 dollar margaritas. I asked for no salt, the salt on mine had clearly been *sort of* wiped off. Our food came after being there for about 30 minutes. I asked for sour cream and never got it. Food was good, but had clearly been under the warmer.

83 dollars later and I will never be back. Head to one of the other Mexican places in town. There are so many worth your time and money.

We recently went to this restaurant again, and while there were things we truly enjoyed, our experience ended up being a bit mixed. We’ve always loved the atmosphere here—the space is beautiful, inviting, and the employees are consistently friendly. The service and the vibe have always been some of its strongest points.

Unfortunately, the food this time didn’t quite meet expectations. The fish was cooked well, but it really lacked flavor. The shrimp and scallops were also inconsistent in their cook; some were fine, but several bordered on overcooked. For the price point, especially when spending around $90 for two people, we really expect consistency and top-notch quality.

One thing we had forgotten from our previous visit is that the restaurant upsells drink sizes without mentioning it. If you don’t specifically request the smaller size, they automatically serve the larger one. It’s a small detail, but it feels sneaky and honestly a bit annoying.

We also ran into the same issue we had a year ago with the gift card. It was purchased online as a gift, but once again it couldn’t be used in the restaurant. Apparently it only works online, which makes the in-person dining gift card essentially unusable. Staff were kind and said they would bring it up to management, but it’s disappointing that this glitch still hasn’t been fixed after all this time.

We were genuinely excited when this restaurant first opened and were really wowed by it. Lately, though, the experience feels hit or miss. We still want to love this place, but consistency matters—especially at this price point. With just a bit more attention to detail in the kitchen and clarity with gift cards and drink sizes, this could easily return to being one of our favorites.

Food was phenomenal. La Cantina is some of the best Mexican food in the area. Unfortunately, the Pina Colada was disappointing tasting heavily of sugar syrup and whip cream rather than coconut.

We’ve been there 4 times and three were great meals. Our waiter was very hard to understand and didn’t listen to our orders, nor wrote them down . Tacos came with beef when we ordered chicken. Told the waiter and he shrug his shoulders and he never offered to replace, but yet charged us for the tacos. I order hot sauce and not knowing there was an up charge of $2. Our waiter got a $2 tip. We were unsatisfied with our meal being wrong and our waiter with an “I don’t care attitude
