I was a regular at Pizza Cheeks from the moment they opened, going there every week without fail. The place had a great vibeânot because of the pizza (which, by the way, is just average for the price)âbut because of the young host. She was energetic, friendly, and made everyone feel like part of the family. Sheâd chat with guests, remember your name, and keep the place buzzing with positive energy. It was honestly the main reason I kept coming back and she was there every time!
Then, a few months ago, she was gone. No explanation, no goodbye. Just replaced. Enter the managerâwho doesnât even come close to bringing the same energy. The vibe completely shifted. The place got tense. Iâve seen this manager publicly scold staff, including the new hostess whoâs clearly trying but canât make up for the lost spark. The atmosphere went from welcoming to awkward, fast.
And letâs talk about the managerâs behavior. More than once, she took up an entire booth during peak hours, glued to her phone and computer. Guests asked to sit there, and the host had to turn them away. The young host wouldâve handled this by simply asking the manager to move, but that energy is long gone. Itâs inconsiderate and just bad business.
As for the foodâit's decent, but for the price? Definitely not worth it. There are better pizza places around Minnesota that charge half as much and taste better. For what youâre paying at Pizza Cheeks, the pizza should at least stand out, but it doesnât.
Iâve noticed the staff still trying their best, but itâs tough when the vibe from management is so off-putting. Iâve been served by the manager, and every time, the mood just drops. Itâs like trying to enjoy a meal, but the musicâs too quiet to enjoy.
A month ago, I stopped going, and I donât plan to go back. Pizza Cheeks used to be a place I looked forward to every week; now itâs just a memory of what couldâve been. Until they fix the vibe, Iâm out.

Pizza was recommended by friends. The pizza we ordered was okay. Could've used more ingredients and more sauce. But the kicker was the bottom crust was burnt. Didn't wish to complain but was disappointed. I asked for coppocola (Italian ham), but it was not offered. A true Italian sandwich has this. Ordered an antipasto salad for home. What a disappointment, kale doesn't belong in a salad. Ingredients should be researched as to what is in an antipasto. Outside of that, it was okay. But not sure about going back.

I believe this is the best pizza in town. Homemade crust, homemade sauce l, homemade meatballs and quality ingredients round out the pizzas. Great staff and owners. Very friendly and welcoming. Great for the kids they have an arcade in the corner with machines and games for the young and young at heart. Highly recommend Pizza Cheeks. So glad they have their own place now to dine in. They still serve pizza by the slice in the back of hello Hi on Phillips

Grabbed dinner at Pizza Cheeks on 26th St. with our daughter and wow...new neighborhood fav. unlocked. They have such a cool vibe, and the food was top-tier. We shared a pizza, pasta, an app, and the eggplant parm...every bite was a win. Canât wait to hit it up again. 10/10 recommend!

Best pizza in Sioux Falls. EASILY. Better than any pizza I've had in Minneapolis too, come to think of it. First of all, it's in a tiki bar. Second of all, the topping choices are fabulous. They have pizza-by-the-slice ready to go if you like, or you can order a specialty pizza, OR - my favorite - you can build your own. I get a white pizza with bacon, garlic, bell peppers, basil... chef's kiss. The whole pizzas are a little spendy, but also massive. Three of us shared one, and there were still five slices left over. Seriously, skip every other pizza place and get yourself here.
