The 90 minute wait for food because employees bailed on the kitchen was bad, very bad. Servers never came to explain or refill drinks or chips, and on top of it, never got anything for the horrible service or wait time. Wont ever be back. Try Azteca and see how it should be done correctly.

What a disappointment. This used to be my favorite Mexican-style restaurant years ago and now the restaurant itself and the quality of the food is less than sub-par.The decor of the restaurant is becoming dated and unappealing. The walls are a singer yellow and the piñatas and framed photos. When we received our food, my burrito looked decent, but my guests' enchiladas looked like a hot mess. We were both disappointed with the flavor of our meals. They were both rather flavorless and I’m certain that many of the ingredients were not freshly made that date. Our service was decent, we had 3 waiters for our one table though, so that was rather odd. Even with 3 servers, we didn’t get timely drink refills nor were we asked how the food was.I visited this restaurant in hopes of an authentic Mexican-style experience but was left with an unsatisfactory, tasteless one instead.

I'm on the hunt for great chilie relleno's. I could not complain about one thing here. The atmosphere was nice, quite, nice energy and they got the food out really fast. Server was also nice. I didn't have anything fancy, a Taco Salad and Chilie Relleno...the Relleno had great flavor and was made in a way I had never see before. Thin layers of egg coating around chilie with lots of melted cheese. I'm happy and would recommend this restaurant.

The lunch buffet is inexpensive and delicious! It was quiet when we went at about 1:30 on a Tuesday but there were beef enchiladas, chicken, beef, and pork taco meat, taco shells, taco salad shells, rice and beans, burritos, chimichangas and a toppings bar with veggies, salsa, sour cream, pico de gallo, also some fruit. They brought fresh chips and salsa and were friendly and polite. The total for the two of us was just under $20 before tip.

Extremely dissapointed with the service! That is an understatement, R.I.P. West side Puerto Vallarta. I refuse to ever go back, I will go out of my way for a 30min drive and go to the one on East 10th, the Original.Edit:Since that time, we have gone to the east side puerto vallarta, and talked with management on the service situation that happened. Im bumping this up to 4/5 stars on how they handled this, as well as how great their food always is.

The service is slow, the "hamburger" and refried beans on the buffet are soupy, but the enchiladas are delicious. You can't beat the price on the lunch buffet. There is a cart of topings/ salad fixings. The buffet offers ground beef sludge, soupy refried beans, Mexican rice, pork and chicken floating in some sort of a liquid (I have never tried the chicken or pork), enchaladas, small burritos and chimichangas, corn taco shells and fried flour taco salad bowls (these are nummy). If you don't mind straining your meat then it is decent tasting. I suggest grabbing a taco salad bowl throwing in some rice then your beans and meat topped with whatever u like. The liquid from the soupy meat and beans will filter down to the rice and it is actually quite good. Not five star dining, but good for the price when you want Mexican for lunch and don't have a ton of time.

Great restaurant with options for vegetarians and vegans (with a few minor modifications). The margaritas are HUGE and very inexpensive during happy hour. Worth a visit if you’re in Sioux Falls.

Worst Mexican food EVER. Sent first order back, completely bland. Second order of picadillo was no better. Flavorless food. Taste like the meat was cooked with no spices, not even salt. And how do you make chili Colorado dry? Use the cheapest cut of meat you can, boil the hell out of it then throw sauce and hope for the best I guess. There is no love in this food. Dont waste your money. Gross!

Always good food and above average service, price is fair. We eat here on occasion, more than any other Mexican restaurant. Always recommend.I almost never give 5 stars but it gets a 4+

NEW ->Recently got an apology straight from an assistant manager and now feeling a lot better. Like said previously, we had good service here till this one time.OLD ->I used to love this place. This is where I proposed and where we went to eat the day before our wedding.First time we visited after our honeymoon and we get the WORST service we've ever had anywhere!Food order incorrect on the same dish TWICE. After that we decided to leave since we hadn't touched our food yet and the server tried to make us pay for it. When we said no way she said "then just leave".After we left, two customers waiting to be seated heard what happened and left with us.

Great food, good and fast service. Have been coming here for years- ever since this location opened and have never had a less than very satisfactory meal, and many really great ones.

DO NOT eat here!!!This place has gone down hill fast!!! Their food is horrible now! Their steak fajitas are harder than ever, no flavor & look heated up from a week ago, with loads of butter dumped on & heated upTheir service is poor, we didn’t receive refills or checked on at all. Their bathrooms have one light, no faucets to wash your hands, broken pictures laying on the counter & bugs all over the floor! All of the servers & manager sit in the bar and watch tv, talk and do nothing while they serve poor food, poor service, and poor maintenance! Go to Jackie’s or Incas if you want good Mexican food, good service, & a clean environment!!!

This is one of our favorite spots if we can't decide on anything or just because! ALWAYS GREAT food, have never been disappointed. Whether ordering from the menu or trying the buffet. Decent margaritas and attentive service.
