The Fish Cave
Me and my wife got seated by the hostess and sat in our booth for 15 minutes while we watched other people get served before us. Would not recommend going to this restraunt unless you want to be forgotten that you were even sitting there to eat. Spoke to manager about poor service just to let them know how poorly of a job they are doing. Mind you we were here at 1pm and it wasn't busy. Get your stuff together Roam, there are alot of good restraunts in sioux falls and your not it.Hope this review helps other people to decide not to eat at this supposed high end restraunt. Management and some staff do a poor job and are not attentive. Also our waitress claimed she didnt see us. Disappointing!

Amazing night, took date for her birthday they had us seated right away. Our waiter Jor (sp) was amazing and attentive. The food came out very fast and was very tasty, main meal was on table 20 minutes after we first sat down! We both tried the chowder, the chicken bits in mine were a little dry but otherwise fantastic. She had the fire rotisserie chicken with carrots and said it was very juicy. I had the beef brisket and roasted red potatos, while the brisket was perfect and great the red potatoes were too seasoned and salty and cooked a little too long. The birthday dessert she chose was the creme brulee and it was truly tasty lots of variation and the nice small burnt aspects made it take similar to a burnt marshmallow. Overall amazing night, atmosphere and service, we'll definitely be back.

Roam is the perfect blend of modernly rustic charm and elevated dining. The atmosphere strikes a balance between cozy and stylish — warm wood tones and rustic touches paired with a modern edge that makes the space feel both inviting and fresh.
We ordered the Range Meat Loaf and the Bourbon Glazed Salmon, and both dishes were unbelievably good. The meat loaf was hearty and comforting, yet refined in flavor, while the salmon was cooked to perfection with a glaze that added just the right amount of richness.
The cocktails were equally impressive. The Old Fashioned was smooth and balanced, and the Mule had that crisp, refreshing kick that rounded out the meal beautifully.
Between the outstanding food, the thoughtful drinks, and the modernly rustic atmosphere, Roam delivers a dining experience that feels both elevated and approachable. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

A HUGE shoutout to the host working around 5:30 or 6 PM, Nov 9, 2025. I arrived with 2 family members for dinner. We approached the host stand and asked for a seating for 3. She asked if we preferred a booth or table and we said a booth was fine. Here’s where my jaw dropped - she asked if I’d be ok making it up a couple steps to get to the booth. I was wearing a boot on my leg due to a recent ankle surgery. She noticed and had the care to ask. I thanked her for her consideration! I also shared with her my husband and I had just been to another local restaurant the night before, spent a lot of money, and no care was given like what she just displayed. For this experience, we hadn’t even been seated and I was truly WOW’d!!! Manager - please find this amazing young woman and give her recognition! I so appreciated her care to ask the question. The food that evening and the service we had at our table was great. We’ve dined here many times and the service and food are consistently good / great.

it’s my first time in Sioux Falls and came here for my birthday dinner. horribly disappointed. first of all the service is terrible there were 3 people at the host stand when my party entered and we were ignored for a good 2-3 min while all the hostesses needed to engage with the customer in front of us instead of one of the staff members branching off to attend to us. just one person talked to the lady in front of us while the other 2 employees just stared at us. then the server was very impatient and rushed me to order. I didn’t see anything appealing on the menu and I asked to substitute sides but they wouldn’t even let me. so I ordered the bison steak it was chewy and tough and fatty and the sweet potatoes were terribly bland and the asparagus was not great either. Worst birthday dinner ever. service was horrible food was horrible. where are the good restaurants in Sioux Falls?
