We have been on a month long road trip and are using Hampton Inns whenever possible. This hotel is right off the highway and near lots of places to eat and shop. Some within walking distance. Also just a short distance to Sightseeing and downtown. Lots of brewpubs to choice from. Our room had a smaller bathroom than most HI hotels we have experienced. Very clean, but less counter space at bathroom sink. The breakfast buffet was a little disappointing from our last stay which had healthier options in the bread and bagel department. Here they only allowed two waters for our three day stay (all others allowed water for each day of stay- even more if I asked. They do not allow late check out for silver members but check out is 12noon anyway. I love the digital (contactless) check in/out and being able to pick out your room.

We really appreciated the 24 hour pool. It was nice to be able to relax and get some exercise late in the evening. Typical breakfast fare, eggs were very dry for some reason. Staff kept area clean and she was smiling a lot. A nice quiet location, not convienent to downtown but still an easy hotel to get into and out of.

But don’t get room 100, right next to an outside door, where the international door banging team can have a field day, because the don’t care about there fellow travellers. A door sign would have helped. Anyway good location, comfortable room, nice breakfast.

The hotel was clean. It was very very busy and a group hung out in the lobby area at all hours making tons of noise. It looked like a young girls sports team. The location was fine. The staff seemed new. The room itself seemed a little smaller than a standard hotel room and I had an adjoining door to some real loud people. I’m not sure that’s the hotels fault at all but it was annoying.

We stayed here on September 8th and September 21st on our way to and from Yellowstone National Park. We also stayed here last year while visiting South Dakota on vacation. The hotel is standard Hampton Inn quality, as well as very clean. Check-in and check-out are quick and efficient. Staff is pleasant to deal with. The location is relatively convenient to traveling on I-90. The hotel is set-back behind a shopping center and is convenient to nearby restaurants. Rooms that are situated close to the interstate tend to be a little noisy. You need to leave the A/C fan on constant to drown out the highway noise. The facility is showing some signs of aging but based upon the two rooms we were in, it appears they are slowly updating the facility. The breakfast is standard Hampton Inn quality (nothing to get excited about).

This hotel was pretty clean. But the hotel property is cramped and parking is tight. There were no computers at all in the business center. I guess these rooms are either new or renovated because they were the kind that just had hooks all over the place, and a sparse bathroom with a shower, no tub. Breakfast was average.

Stay away! Manager was terrible. Tracy Kolb. I will remember that name because she treated us so poorly. We had a minor dispute about the billing and was treated so poorly by staff. The manager acted too busy and bothered by our problem. She fixed the billing issue but then proceeded to berate us about their “policies”. Her name was Tracy Kolb. Very unprofessional. We are Very upset how she treated us. We were talked down to so very poorly and she did it in front of her staff. We felt berated and reprimanded and we’ll spread the word about how we were treated. We have too many options out there to be treated like this and come back with our business! Stay away!!

I am a long time Hilton Honors member. I recently did a long road trip to Alaska, and tried to stay at a Hampton Inn whenever possible. I couldn't help but notice that almost ever Hampton Inn & Suites that I stayed at used the same combination tub & shower combination with a shower head made by Moen. The problem is this: when you prefer to take a shower you have to pull up a little metal tab or plunger on the long faucet in the tub that allows water to flow out of the shower head. The problem is that this particular faucet only allows about 40% of the water to flow out of the shower head, the other 60% of the water ends up in the tub drain. It is a poorly designed faucet. I am convinced that someone at Hilton WorldWide obviously received a kickback from Moen !! Give me back my full water pressure Hampton Inn?

Off of the Interstate, close to shops and restaurants. Within walking distance to a lot of places. We can depend on Hampton Inn for good hot breakfasts and clean rooms. Microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms.

Check-in by personable, helpful, happy Zane was flawless and check-out by Rankiz was equally enjoyable. Breakfast women chatted between themselves delaying replenishing supplies. We really appreciated the very brightly lit bathroom; comfy room. Would stay again when in the area.

We were only here for a night as we were passing through. The room was comfy and the A/C worked really well. Plenty of parking in the lot & you could walk to some things if you wanted to. Breakfast was solid and the front desk staff friendly.

The "manager" was rude when I checked in. I'm a Diamond Tier Hilton Member and I had to ask her if I could have the snack that the other places give me. I'm accustomed to at least getting an acknowledgment and a "thank you" for being a member. None of that at this hotel. Sometimes you can tell when a room has just been straightened up rather than cleaned and that is how this room was. Two of the towels had big black hairs on them and there were visible food crumbs on the carpet.

Overall Hampton Inns are reliable and a good value. But when we arrived late, around 7:30 pm, the hotel was sold out and I felt we got the dregs, a small double queen and a small king, without question smaller than the same rooms at other Hampton properties. In my king, an occasional chair was wedged between the bed shelf and the double door closet and would not budge. Therefore I couldn’t use the closet or retrieve the folding luggage rack. I had to open my luggage on the second bed because there was no other space. I placed my small luggage on the desk. The black out shade admitted enough light to awaken me, overlooking the parking lot lights. There was no night night in the bathroom (other properties have more modern switches or a real plug-in light). The shower head was way high, could not adjust it. The toilet was toddler sized (short). No ledge in the shower to help wash lower extremities. The frig was not turned on, and worse, it and the microwave were very low to the floor, hard to read controls, bad for senior backs. There was one small elevator for the entire sold out property. (Take a number!) Ok , the good news: the staff was very friendly, helped me confirm reservations at the next Hampton on our itinerary so I didn’t have to talk to the automated reservation service. Thank you Rosa! And — this Hampton sells half bottles of wine which I badly needed. Also note, nearby restaurant closed at 9 pm. Thanks to Uber Eats, we found Red Robin burgers but I hate eating dinner at 10:30 pm. My bad. Breakfast was typical adequate Hampton, not a complaint. I love their hot dark roast. I would here again but……

Hampton Inn on S Carolyn in Sioux Falls was CLEAN, FRIENDLY, PRICED FAIR. It passed my “white glove” test. Bathroom had nice bright lights and very clean. Only thing the room needed was a small mirror for makeup application .
