Love this place every time I drive 400 miles to Sioux falls SD this place is on the top of my places too stop for Awesome treat's. Fresh made ice cream and many wonderful cup cakes to choose from and the staff are so friendly. Please stop here you won't regret after having a cup cake.

I really wanted to like this place because the pictures looked so good. However, they are outrageously expensive. The cupcakes were not great. I could hardly taste any lemon flavor in the lemon drop, and the vanilla butter cream tasted like it was from a can. ðŸ˜

Cupcakes are good, but they mess with my stomach after. I do tend to have a sensitive stomach. Pupcakes also gave my dog loose stool (I know, gross, but now you know). If you are looking for a job, I would not recommend working here.

I just picked up a four pack of Mother's Day cupcakes and let me tell you, they are absolutely beautiful. I sat and spoke with the owner and she was an absolute gem of a woman. Bubbly and friendly. I could have talked with her all day. This was my first time at SmallCakes and I am proud to say they have definitely earned my business.

We had an appointment for a wedding consult a few months ago. The cupcakes were alright, but they didn't have any papers to take home with us, other than a flavor list. They didn't have their wedding prices online and no one gave us a list. The consultant was using a price packet to answer our questions, and even tried to write some prices out for only what we asked to know about, but for some reason they don't give the couple have a price packet? It was important for us to go through our options by ourselves and we weren't able to do that without prices. I think it would be a good idea to implement that going forward. Compared to other bakeries, they weren't as warm and welcoming, didn't provide transparent pricing, and didn't provide a wide variety of samples for us to try.

So while I was sneaking out around the lake in front of Hobby Lobby I found this little store called Smallcakes. It might as well have been called "get in here now" the cupcakery. My kids and I each devoured one cupcake and then we loaded up with 12 more before heading home. My favorite was the carrot cake cupcake, my least favorite was a breakfast themed cupcake with a little pancake & waffle. But even that one would have gotten a 3 star review. Pricing is inline with every other cupcake shop I have been to, perhaps even a little less than some. Plus I don't remember any of them also having ice cream so that seems like a bonus. We stop in at one of Smallcakes competitors every time we are in town, now we will be changing it up from time to time giving them both an opportunity to keeping winning our cupcake business.
