I come to starbucks often, once if not twice a day sometimes. This is my usual spot but as of recently probably the past 4 or 5 months, i’ve noticed a decline in friendliness and attentiveness. I try to give the benefit of a doubt and look at the positives in most situations, but today was more than irritating. I understand wanting to have fun or making things lighthearted when you’re working but the phones need to go. Apparently a shift supervisor (I was told by another barista that was at the window) was in her phone showing her coworkers something funny or whatever it was, I was handed my first drink already, which was great, but I had gotten a water as well, and I was patiently waiting and at that moment they were all in a circle around the cup station laughing and not caring about the fact there is a customer still waiting at the window. The barista that gave me my first drink then came back to the window and said “Oh did you get your water yet”, I said “No” and then she proceeded to close the window, and was then distracted once more and a few moments later she asked “Oh what was I getting you?” and I replied “The water”. Then when I received the water I asked why there are multiple people on their phones and not helping make the drinks, I was then told “Well she’s our shift supervisor so I don’t know what to tell you” also said “she’s on her break” (which she was not, she was actively making drinks from the cue and had a headset on) I don’t know when accountability stopped being a thing but clearly it’s not an understood constant at this location. I have worked for starbucks and I’ve also been a shift and would have had issues with my co workers and manger if I was doing that. Not only that, the same person who is handling the food at the ovens was also on their phone. Both should be washing their hands before touching anything drink or food related. To say the least I am making my coffee at home now or going somewhere else, I wish people cared more, and didn’t act like, anyone asking you to just do the simplest part of your job, was annoying and a problem. I hope the management sees this and can fix the issues from the inside. This all happened at 9:19-9:25am today.

Great employees. Bad ownership. Stopped visiting because the CEO is scummy.

Loved the little coffee shop, awesome service, entry to get in and out is tricky due to small parking lot size/drive-threw. But worth the hassle for great service!

418 S Minnesota Ave makes it very difficult for a Grub hub driver to pick up an order! you cannot pick it up through the drive-through you have to park. There’s hardly any parking and if you find a spot and you have to go inside to pick up one drink as I had to do by the time you come back out the line is so long and you are blocked by drive up cars. Your car is blocked and you have to wait And it’s just very disrespectful of Starbucks to not set up some system where we can pick it up at the drive-through and I as a Grub Hub driver will never pick up an order from Starbucks at 418 South Minnesota.I picked up one small drink and 25 cent tip and took 30 min.

One I f my daughter's must go to spots
Largest coffee company in the world and this location has nonstop car traffic and cannot cash anything higher then a $10 bill. I understand not cashing large bills but when asked what I could use that was the response. I really dont need to be spending 10-15 bucks every morning anyway so probably a blessing in disguise but still want to warn people. This location has plenty of their preferred clientele, so they're probably not to worried about losing business from people like me.
I go here often before work and I usually have a great experience but this morning the barista was very rude and short with our interaction. She also questioned my payment and thought the card wasn’t mine? Super weird interaction.

Very poor customer experience this morning. Over run by staff. Made to feel very unconformably. Believing that location has staff behavioral issues.

The woman at the window was very friendly, but there was another person, who I believe was on the intercom taking drive-through orders, standing behind her. The gal at the window asked this person if I could switch one of the items in my order—from a snowman cake pop to a snowman cookie—since I hadn’t understood what my daughter wanted at first. The person seemed annoyed, nodded her head, and then glared at me. She appeared very irritated, which made me feel uncomfortable. I used to enjoy coming here, but this is the second uncomfortable encounter I’ve had this month.

This is a busy store. The parking lot is miserable. The drive-through cuts through the parking lot, making getting in and out of the store very difficult. This isn't really built for meeting someone for a cup of coffee. It's a machine for getting people in and out. Behind the counter was so busy I wasn't certain they still used the till to order. It looked like everyone ordered on the app. They didn't give you an order number, just a bunch of orange taped likes on the counter where they set food, with no apparent reason for the different places they put the food and little to no explanation of what was put out or who it was for. Just food and drinks hitting the counter with no more care than throwing a frozen hamburger patty on the grill. There's not really any atmosphere, the store is small, really crowded, and difficult to drop by and get something. I would choose to go elsewhere just to feel more human. Nothing went wrong. The food is fine. The workers were polite. The store is clean. But it's about as comfortable as a 2am Black Friday stampede at Wal-Mart. The only exception is actually the customers. A man with arms full, looked like an app delivery driver, kindly held the door and greeted everyone despite being heavily laden. The customers inside were patient and nice. Even though everything went fine, it was hard to enjoy the experience. But I don't believe you can solve your parking lot at that location.
