It was decent, they ran out of Alligator even though I ordered before another table and they got three (F me, right?). I was only in town for a few days, was seriously disappointed that I didn't get to try this highly recommended dish. Wanted to believe it was worth the price, but I given this experience my yearly work trip won't include this place.

As a person who worked here the environment/atmosphere , food, & service is pretty wonderful and friendly place!Atmosphere:I loved everything about there! I loved meeting every-single person there. Everyone was so kind and friendly to me. s a person who has ADHD, this can go around my mind very simply and it's easy for me to deal with all new kinds of people. Even when I stopped working here I always loved and checking up with the people I made friends there.Food:The food can be really good to you if you're not allergic to anything. Since I am allergic to most fish I loved sticking to the mac and cheese there! Always a major recommendation by me!Service:This is such a debatable topic for me! It can be really so slow on Tuesday's-Wednesday's or really busy/ chaotic Thursday's-Saturday's depending which holiday or season is around the corner!Over all thank you so much to everyone I met there!Vegetarian options: Theres not as many of them I really wish they add more for my fellow veggie people!Parking: Easy to get in depending in the days or so!

Unfortunately they were out of gumbo and crawfish. Still paid full amount for crawfish hush puppies. Also, Burger Battle burger was missing a couple of ingredients. Jambalaya was very good. Loved to see all the kids helping out in restaurant, but servers seemed overwhelmed. We will be back to give a second chance, but this experience was not what we hoped.

The decline in this restaurant is so disappointing. We just spent $80 on an inedible meal. They were out of gator, pork belly, pulled pork, and gumbo. I had a pasta dish that I’ve enjoyed in the past, but this time the pasta was overcooked and mushy. The chicken was barely seasoned. When the garlic bread is the best part of a $20 entree, there’s a problem. We also had shrimp which was burned on one side and not even seared on the other. We found two tiny bits of crawfish in an entire order of crawfish hush puppies. Drinks were overpriced and watered down. We waited 30 minutes for the food, and the waitress never returned to our table after leaving food. I had to go to her with my card to pay. This used to be a great place to eat but after several disappointing visits in a row, combined with their increasing prices, I won’t be back.

This building has a few eateries all hidden away like a mini food court. From Mexican food at Flying Santos, to bowls and gyros at Boki, to Louisiana Cajun at Swamp Daddy’s, these all serve great food and provide ample variety in cuisine to make it a great place to stop even with a large group with different tastes.I have already reviewed Boki & Flying Santos, look for my reviews for more information on those two restaurants. Today was a return visit to Swamp Daddy’s.The atmosphere is bright, cozy, and warm. Lots of interesting artwork to look at. Service was decent.Alligator is an elusive protein to find in the Sioux Falls area but if you’ve always wanted to try it, you can find it here. I have yet to find an Alligator Jambalaya but you CAN find fried alligator bites here.During this visit I tried the Alligator Po’Boy and the Blackened Shrimp which comes with Jambalaya. The Jambalaya was really excellent. One of the better Jambalayas I’ve had in the SF area. The shrimp was good, a bit heavy on the seasoning and was a bit salty but still good. The Po’Boy was also good. I didn’t quite understand the shredded cheese on it though. A traditional Po’Boy has your meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, on French bread with a sauce or mayonnaise. I love cheese as much as the next guy but this was about as messy as eating a powdered doughnut. If the cheese is going to stay as an ingredient on this sandwich, I’d recommend melting it on top and not leaving it loose to fall out all over the place. The bread was spot on! Perfectly toasted on the inside and “so fluffy I want to die” on the outside. This is definitely on the expensive side for value. Blackened shrimp and Po’Boy were both $20 each and the serving sizes were moderate at best. There were only a few pieces of shrimp on the blackened dish and 7 alligator bites the size of a tator tots on the sandwich.Definitely recommend this place if you like trying new things but it’s probably not in most people’s budget to eat here regularly, especially with a family.

Well, what can I say…nothing too fabulous. Sooooo let’s start with our server. She was AMAZING. Arianna was great and did her big one! She’s also the bar manager and made a mean Spiced Rum Punch! The main complaints I have is that the food was cold and completely bland. Being from the South and having the palette of a true southerner, I was expecting anything similar or just a little bit close to remind me of home. Sadly, they didn’t fulfill that for me. I know some seasonings and spices can be unique or too powerful for the palettes located here in the Midwest but I feel that catering to childish palettes is doing this restaurant a HUGE disservice. Things we ordered: Catfish and Shrimp Platter (2), Fried Okra, Fried Pickles & Jambalaya. I ordered the Catfish and Shrimp Platter as the main dish and very disappointed. The atmosphere was great at least and the drinks were very good! I hope they can continue to improve and I wish this place well!Sorry if this is too harsh! I just wanted to give my honest opinion!

Delicious food. Large quantities of food will have you leaving full. Jambalaya, fried okra, gumbo were very good. Sweet tea was a perfect addition to it. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

Writing this as I’m sitting in the restaurant… our server is very nice and attentive to us. The seafood boil is perfect to share with someone, my friend and I got it and it was DELICIOUS. Crab was good, potato was good, sausage too. Food came out relatively quickly. Only thing is the guy cooking yells “order up!” When foods done so it confused us whether we went up and got it or brought to us. Overall, i recommend this place to anyone visiting Sioux Falls.Wheelchair accessibility: flat landscape so no need for ramps

I travel all over the United States for work often in the south. I haven’t been to a Cajun place like this. But, I’m not surprised when I found out the owners are from Louisiana.

Honestly some of the best Cajun food I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is inviting and artsy. The service was great (our server was also our chef!), and the food was phenomenal! My husband and I had the gumbo and the alligator po-boy. And we had to have some beignets too of course. And it was all better than the food I’ve had in New Orleans in the past!
