We recently held our wedding block here, and stayed here ourselves as newlyweds. We had the block all set up, everyone was set. Then people started checking in. NO ONE in our entire party and group got the room/amount of beds they booked and paid for. We as the newlyweds did not get our suite that we had booked. The second night, since we weren’t in the room we booked with MY name, we got locked out. On our wedding night. And I go to the desk to figure it out and all I got was “well we aren’t sure what the problem is”. I understand rooms moving around with different check ins but nothing was cross referenced. Nothing was checked. If you had the decency to cross reference what type of room a person needed, you could have checked them into a similar room or told them to wait. But I’m not a hotel manager so I guess I don’t know much of anything. I understand having construction going on, housing the Jacks football team, and so on. I get it. It’s busy. But get your heads out of your a****. We were all treated like crap. None of asked for more than what we paid for. None of asked to change rooms to make up for mistakes you made. All we wanted was what we paid for. You’ll never see me walk through those doors again. Deplorable service, snippy attitudes from the front desk each time we had a problem, and nothing was ever done to even remotely remedy any situations. I’m not a picky person. My family owned a hotel, I know the ins and the outs. I know the stress. I know serving people is hard, but you at least have to try. Try to have some compassion. Try to meet the needs of your paying customers. Figure it out. (The initial call with the wedding coordinator was fine, she was very polite and helped us the best she could)

Room 320 need massive work! it's so gross. Hair on bathroom floors. Nothing lime having a bug crawling on you at 4am. Carpets are awful. Worst part is the AC vent is full of mold! Nothing like getting people sick be cause if poor maintenance. I would expect these things from a super 8 not a Marriott.

Have dangerous pedophiles on staff.

The hotel itself was ok. Its worn and tired. Our room was clean but there was deferred repairs for instance the bathroom door was losing some of its veneer. Our room was on the top floor and it was quiet even with the atrium. The main issue with the hotel was when we checked it the front desk said I've upgraded you to the concierge level. He neglected to indicate that he was charging us for such. The lounge was closed anyways on the weekend. He did give us breakfast coupons which we didn't use anyways. It was ridiculous. If he had asked us we would have said no.

I assumed it was a Marriott property and would be nice. The first clue that I was wrong was the dirty front doors. The clerk struggled to find a room and sent us to one that overlooks the front roof with spotlights right outside the windows. We were told no other rooms with a king size bed were available. There were stains on the carpeting. We turned the air down to 65, but it never cooled down. On our way out of the hotel, we told the clerk who said that’s try in many of the rooms. I was very disappointed in our stay. Try a different property.

I should had paid attention to the rating, but since I make reservations via Marriott Bonvoy, and Trip Advisor, I assumed a “Sheraton” would be nice. It was was, I am sure back in the day. Very worn, seemed dirty everywhere. Never will think about this place. Should have stayed downtown… But, that is my mistake, not theirs. Was told I initially I had no reservation… until I showed them an email and my Marriott App.

Very nice place but very noisy. Don’t plan on going to sleep before 11pm, maybe later. if the hotel is has a lot of guest especially all from one company or event. The lobby bar echoes though the whole hotel no matter what floor you’re on. Ask for a room that is far away from the lobby bar as possible maybe the the 87th floor ( if there was one) If I could only sleep it sure would be nice.

It's always an absolute pleasure staying here when in Sioux Falls. I like that the gym stays open 24/7 and the swimming facilities close late. Inside, facilities are absolutely immaculate, and more importantly, staff are friendly, hospitable and amicable. Rooms are both spacious and clean with copious supplies of fresh linen. Importantly for intrepid explorers, interstates and the airport are easily accessible within 5 minutes. This is the preferred choice when in Sioux Falls.

Before you stay at this otherwise fine hotel, be aware of some things that could make your stay somewhat unpleasant. Any negative comments that I say about this hotel will not affect them in the least, since they are connected through very nice passageways to the beautiful convention center, the arena, the sports complex, etc. It makes it very convenient to stay here if you’re involved in any events at any of those places. They will always have clientele, therefore. The hotel is situated near the airport, which makes a shuttle very convenient. The hotel itself is very nice, and so are the rooms. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms clean (except see below), and the bathroom bright and cheerful. They offer a breakfast, but at a cost. They also have a restaurant. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. So were the staff at the restaurant. All in all, a nice place to stay, except for a few things! So, my comments now will serve to hopefully make you aware of some negative aspects. 1 - First of all, this hotel is built like an Embassy Suites. In other words, all the floors of the main hotel form a square with a courtyard in the middle of it. That means that you can exit your room, cross the aisle, and immediately look down at the courtyard below you. All of the rooms in the main hotel are exposed to this courtyard. Other hotels built in this style usually have the good sense to make the courtyard just a seating area with gardens and some fountains. Not this hotel! They put their bar there! That means that you can expect loud laughing, yelling and screaming until late at night - and it was that way all three nights we were there! My wife called down to the front desk at 11:30pm one night to ask how long the noise was going to last. (AND, the sound echoes and reverberates and seems to increase by volume due to the nature of the construction). They told her that since there were about 150 people still there (due to a concert that ended around 10:00pm), they were going to keep the bar open until midnight! What was obvious to us is that this hotel cares more for the bar clientele than the rest of us who are there for a convention and trying to get some sleep! It’s fine to have a bar if you need one, but put it somewhere in a place where other guests won’t be disturbed! If you stay here, ask to be placed in what appears to be an annex. I think it’s called the “executive wing”. You’ll be somewhat insulated from laughing, screaming and yelling. 2 - They serve à la carte breakfasts here as well as the buffet. However, the buffet costs $18 with tax which would be OK if you could also order eggs made to order. You can’t. The scrambled eggs on the buffet are the ones that come from powder or out of a bottle. You can only get real eggs if you order them from the menu. I think that any buffet that charges $18 should have real eggs available for the guests. When I asked about this, they told me that real eggs made to order used to be available until about three years ago, when Covid started. I reminded them that Covid is over now, and they should return to that former practice for that price. 3 - Lastly, even though our room was very nice, the carpet looked like a disaster area. All over it needed to be steam cleaned. Perhaps replaced. The pictures will show you what I mean… Anyway, other than that, a very nice place to stay especially if you are involved in any one of the activities associated with the area.

Very convenient location if you have an event at the arena. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Bar hours are not good for travelers. if you stay here make sure to walk across the street to Boss' Sports & Pizza over in the Ramada, the service hours are so much better, especially of you want to watch a game and get food.

Stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights. The rooms where clean and the beds very good. They have a large lounge area with water falls. The receptionist was very nice and we talked with her every time we went by. When we went downtown, she offered us to take the shuttle bus both ways. I place I would stay again, if I come to Sioux falls again

We chose the Sheraton due to the close proximity to the Sanford Center as we were attending the Walker Hayes Concert. The room was a good size. Our major complaint was the lack of a vanity in a handicapped room and there was no way to take a shower without getting the entire floor wet. The buffet offering that night was ok (pasta), however sparse, only 2 sauce selections and one pasta selection. It was not worth the $16.99 price. The breakfast buffet the next morning was just sparse.

The staff here is amazing. The ladies in the morning at breakfast made my stay - -the best, Joann and Nancy. Front desk, Bill, so kind and Jim at the shuttle desk, just right on what needed to be done! Spoke with Kelli in sales to convey my thoughts on the great staff, she sent me caramel corn to my room as a way of saying thanks for the feedback. Stay here, you will not regret your choice.
