Kickstands Bar & Grill

Kickstands Bar and Grill is an okay spot, but there are a few things that left me underwhelmed. You have to order everything at the bar, which can feel a bit inconvenient. Also, their burgers don’t come with fries, and there are no substitutions offered, which is a bit disappointing. On the positive side, there was a live band, and they were a lot of fun to listen to—definitely added to the atmosphere. Overall, it’s a decent place, but there’s room for improvement.

My fiance and I stayed over labor day weekend and it was excellent! Awesome place, amazing staff, amazing food(the breakfast platter & nachos are to die for), and amazing bands playing!!

we really enjoyed our stay during the 84th rally. Was impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms and showerhouses. The well maintained grave road were nice on the rainy mornings. Highly recoR2-D2mmended.

First time stoping at the Kickstand. Typically stay in town. Got there around 7:00pm. Maybe 50 people in the bar. Plenty of open tables and seating. Grabbed a high top table. Waited 15 min at the table without anyone coming over. Finally walked over to the bar to see a tiny sign telling you to order at the bar. That’s when the wheels started falling off! Waitress didn’t know how to use their systems. Didn’t know how to add items. Didn’t know how to print receipt. Didn’t know they were out of Tea. We all ordered Nachos, quick and easy!

We waited almost an hour for 3 plates of Nachos. Menu said hand made quality food not from bags. We were expecting great nachos. Not a few chips with a crumbled up hamburger patty and a drizzle of cheese. We order a side of queso for $4.19. The extra queso was supposedly put on the nachos. Couldn’t tell!

Smoking area was right behind the port a cool. Blowing smoke right at the tables inside. Needless to say, we won’t be putting our kickstands down again at Kickstands!

The food was great. I had the Shrooms & Swiss burger and my wife had the Bacon Cheeseburger salad. Also ordered the loaded potato wedges to go with my burger. The bun used was a bit hard but the burger was nice and juicy. The toppings tasted good. My wife said her salad was great.

The potato wedges were more.like fries than wedges so not really what I expected considering they had loaded fries on the menu also.

We didn't eat here. The lady behind the bar was very nice to us and answered a lot of our questions. Nice place with a big stage behind it for live music. I have camping spots available for RVs, tents and cabins. They have showers restrooms and laundry facilities on site.

Kickstands is a great music venue that just happens to serve outstanding food!!! My favorite place to eat in western South Dakota, I bring all my friends and visitors here! Best burgers in the hills!

A friend and I were in town a little while back and we stumbled across Kickstands. It was a great time with great music. Our bartender was Kelsey, she was fantastic and a fun personality. 10/10 would recommend.
