We pulled up on a Friday evening to see that it was already closed at 730. Google says 8. There is a huge soccer tournament. It would've been nice to have this option
We drive to Sturgis from Spearfish because this pizza ranch is so good, staff is great and they do a excellent job at keeping the place clean and keeping the buffet stocked with fresh food.

The soup was served hot.
Their posted hours online stated they were open until 8:00 pm, so imagine my surprise when I arrived a few minutes before 7 to find the door locked. What a disappointment. Although I have had good experiences there previously, I'm not sure I'll go again. Very disappointing.

We were here 330-430pm on 8/29/25. The vast majority of the food had clearly been siting under the lights for some time. It was all dried out. We could hear the staff visiting in the kitchen and laughing, clearly no one was watching the food or caring for customers. A young teen was working as a cashier, when we pointed out to her that the food was clearly old and had been sitting there for a while her response was “let me check”. She went into the kitchen, then didn’t speak with us again. We continued to wait as only one new pizza was brought out the entire time we were there, that one didn’t have any sauce on it but had sausage. We ate the salad and what we could, our plates remained on the table as no one was busing the tables. No clue what was going on with this place. We won’t be back.

I figured it would be a typical Pizza Ranch, but it fell below that bar. They appeared to be possibly understaffed, at least I hope that was the issue. Tables were not cleaned in a timely manner, used dishes weren't picked up while dining, and the buffet frequently ran out of items. However, we did stay to eat, mainly because we were very hungry, and we didn't get sick.

Felt like a local favorite — warm and genuine.

It’s local and what lead used to be
I was impressed by the selection and flavors of their buffet. Seriously. Friendly folks too. Variety is the spice of life, they say. Pizza Ranch is so much more than their name. Thank you! Blessings for a safe and great summer!
Limited selection, but not bad for a quick buffet. Has an arcade for the kids and fun decore.
Good stop ...food was fresh and satisfying...the variety is wonderful...the price was right...the service was spot on and the staff was so friendly and cordial.
I have never been disappointed in PR! Love your food!
