“We had a wonderful experience last evening at El Fredo's. Things got off to a slightly rocky start when I spilled a large lemonade across the table as my brother was about to place his order, but the abundantly kind waitress dealt with the situation like a pro. (Imagine our initial confusion, followed by mild astonishment, when we learned her twin sister worked there as well!).
Shortly afterward, my brother asked our waitress to place a candle upon whatever my dad ordered for dessert, as it was his 80th birthday. She enthusiastically granted this request.
Meanwhile, the food -- an oriental salad for the birthday "boy" and Cajun shrimp and chicken alfredo for myself and my brother, respectively -- were positively dynamite. El Fredo's had not been a first option for dinner for us out-of-town visitors, but with limited options on a Sunday night we made a choice we'll always be grateful for.
It should be added that our server/waitress was excellent in all facets of her job -- both in service and friendliness. She remained undeterred by my brother's spilling of half a cup of decaf across the table (You CANNOT take us anywhere!). We would without question recommend El Fredo's to anyone in Vermillion, though we imagine that the big dude in the cowboy hat also there Sunday night already knows it's an absolute food mecca.
Next time I'm in Coyote Country, you can be sure I'll be making a stop.“
