Hideaway Diner & Bar Reviews
my wife and I stopped in for dinner. we shared a chicken fried steak, and we each had an iced tea and a side salad. the cfs was absolutely tasteless and was so stringy it took quite a bit of effort to cut a bite off. the mashed potatoes were dry and very clumpy. the bill was over $32 for this hazard they called a meal. very disappointed. it never used to be this way, they always used to have great food and reasonable prices. I don't know what changed, but it wasn't for the better....read full review

Hideaway Diner & Bar is a hidden gem on I-90, offering delicious breakfast and dinner options. Despite its unassuming exterior, the inside is modern and welcoming. The senior breakfast deal is a steal with tasty food. Visitors praise the excellent gravy, friendly service, and clean environment. The diner is known for its amazing chicken fried steak served breakfast style with white gravy and the best French dip with tender, flavorful roast beef. The cod sandwich is light and flaky with just the right amount of breading, while jalapeño poppers are loaded with cream cheese. Service is often praised, especially when Shylene is serving. Guests have recently enjoyed the steak tips, which are tender and juicy, and the jumbo shrimp, highlighted for their generous size. The wings have also been described as some of the best ever tasted. Whether stopping by for a meal or after a rally cruise, many consider it a well-kept secret by locals, offering wonderful food at reasonable prices. It’s a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal and a good time, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.
