“We finally had time to go in to lou Lou’s with or 1 year old the ladies who work there are so kind and sweet and the service was wonderful we found our new spot to enjoy a treat or a wonderful lunch . the food was so delicious and you get so much for such a good price .it felt like you was walking into grandmas kitchen with wonderful ladies who greeted us they are so kind and made our food so fast . They just made you feel so welcomed highly recommend and the coffee was sooo good what a hidden gem in our small mountain town .”

“I walked into this place expecting something else than what it was. An open area that doesn't even resemble Italian. The music playing was oriental or something, Definitely not Italian. You order your dish at the counter. I think it is more of a take out dishes. We had three daily dishes to choose from. You then get a slice of the dish that gave me an impression that it came from a frozen package came out of the freezer section from Sam's club. It was sliced and then heated in the microwave. Then serve in a aluminum take out dish. Now dont get me wrong. The food was good. It could have been hotter. The host offered to heat it up again. But, if you cant get it right the first time don't offer to correct your mistake. If you are looking for a pre-made Italian dish, this is the place for you. Sorry about the review but Im honest.”

“We come out west once a year and will always stop in at West River Whiskey. From the owner, to everybody working there, just solid, good people. I don't typically drink whiskey, but their whiskey is so smooth. We never leave without a few bottles. Everything in the store is quality, not cheap like found in a lot of other shops in the area.”

“This is a must-see in the Black Hills! As frequent visitors to the area, we're always looking for something new to do/try, and Belle Joli Winery Sparkling House is now a stop we will recommend to others and make again ourselves when we're back! We booked the Platinum Experience tour and were greeted by Choi and Stella, who immediately made us feel welcome. Our tour began inside with Jackie, who set the stage for our time outside, where Bob (Go Big Red!) shared the start-to-finish growing to harvesting process. Back inside, Jackie explained how they produce their sparkling wines, and then we enjoyed several sparkling wines, red wines, and a port along with a meat and cheese tray. We also sampled a couple of their white wines and enjoyed a salmon and dill flatbread. Everyone was so attentive, friendly, and patient as we asked questions, and Matthew, the winemaker, even joined us for a short time. The afternoon we spent at the Sparkling House with Choi, Stella, Matthew, Jackie, and Bob will be one of our favorite memories from our more than 30 years of traveling to the Black Hills! We're thrilled to support such great people and an excellent product!”

“I want to compliment this place - I shot pool against Doug and Jackie's team a couple weeks ago there and was blown away by the food quality. I ordered a burger cooked medium - and it came out medium. It was hot, and excellent. But what really floored me was the Rocky Mountain Oyster basket. Wow! Perfectly fried. Tender - and the sauce was really complimentary. I know where I'll be going when I'm at the salebarn next time. We might even make the drive for dinner some night and I told my friends about it too. I was told by a couple others that the food was a little expensive before ordering - and while it seemed to be a few dollars over what regional averages are- I wasn't disappointed in my meal like I often am ordering food at a "bar".”

“We were in Saturday for a late birthday lunch and it was absolutely perfect! The food was phenomenal, everyone in our group loved what they ordered, but beyond that our server Austin was amazing. We were a little rowdy and he was great at putting up with our nonsense and was so much fun but also very knowledgeable and made great food recommendations. I had a burger that Austin recommended and it was delicious! We also really enjoyed the bar tender too but unfortunately I didn’t get her name. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!”

Service was prompt and friendly...Kerri Jo was our server. We enjoyed the hometown feel and welcoming environment. Local art on the walls and some really cool merchandise. Can't wait to rock my new sweatshirt! Pam and Jody in the gift shop were absolutely wonderful. Cant wait to go back. What a great local gathering place!”
