Can't speak to the good this time but if the service is any indication, I'm sure it's good. The only place that appeared to be open on Canada Day. Not far from the highway.
When I first started to hear positive talk about the food at the Hideaway, I was a little wary.. Lanigan hasn't knocked it out of the park foodwise in the 8 years I've lived here, so I was worried that the food may be 'the best of the worst'. My worries were unwarranted thank god! I picked up a pizza and (what looks like hand-cut) dry ribs this afternoon. The pizza surprised me. It was soo good! Generous toppings, tasty sauce, and a pile of cheese... perfectly...
Food is typical for a small town pub. However, there are some great quality items on the menu that are delicious.
The Nacho platter is underwhelming for the cost.
Service is always prompt and friendly. I did receive some Sass and attitude from one of the waitresses there this summer, but this won't ruin this little gem for me.
