I have been booking stays at the Delta Regina for quite a few years now and one of the best things is the 1919 bar. Della makes one of the best tasting Old Fashioned drinks I have had. I tell my colleagues that there are places that try to compete but they do not have the consistency of excellence Della puts into every OF I have had at 1919. I really appreciate the effort Della and her colleagues put into making my stays here so enjoyable. Thank you Della!

After reading my review from last year I went back for another smoked butter chicken - still fabulous. My second night I had the stuffed pork chop, delish! The staff is super friendly and attentive. It was Labour Day Classic weekend, so there were loads of both Riders and Bombers fans around, and I just loved the atmosphere and how well everyone got along. A really nice experience. For breakfast I had the breakfast croissant with hollandaise sauce on the side. Highly recommended.
We are staying at the Delta and decided to try this restaurant for dinner last night. The bison ribeye was mainly good... Except that I had ordered it medium rare and it was very rare, almost blue in the middle. The lobster butter was served rock hard and cold sitting on top of the ribeye. The meal was mainly good, but for the price it definitely could have been better. The service was not the greatest. The restaurant was empty and the waiter was initially quick to take our orders, and the food came out in decent time. But after we finished eating he completely disappeared and we were sat just waiting for our bill for about 15 or 20 minutes after our plates had been cleared from the table.
This morning we went for the breakfast buffet and the food was delicious, but the service again was not great. Our waitress gave us decaf coffee when we wanted regular, no water, and then never came to check on us again. My husband ended up having to go up to the waiter station and get water for us himself.
Overall, the food was okay, but there are better options, especially for the price you pay so I wouldn't really recommend this restaurant.

I believe the to-go area is part of the restaurant (which I didn't know at the time) but according to their hours I must have gone just after they closed. Keizen was very kind and still took my order free of charge saying the coffee was to be discarded at that time anyways. Amazing customer service ? thank you so much!
