Wicked Thai soup is delicious! I would recommend getting it. Not spicy. Quality of all of the ingredients is impeccable. Would definitely come back 😊”

“I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years and always a satisfied customer. i always recommend Regent pizza on posts and to friends. Today was extremely disappointing. I ordered the lasagna and it arrived 25 minutes after ordering cold and the flavorwas not good, was soo disappointing. Even the garlic toast was terrible was rubbery toast no flavor and a half pice of toast at that I normally order the pizza and had the Greek lasagna about a month or 2 ago was amazing! Side note I got a side order of fries and gravy that was hot and very tasty”

At Café Français, they offer a variety of coffee options that are all expertly brewed to perfection. Now onto the food! The brunch menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. My partner and I decided on the eggs benedict which came with perfectly poached eggs atop a bed of bacon and spinach all nestled on top of an English muffin. The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy without being too heavy - just perfect! And last but certainly not least, let's talk desserts. Decadent doesn't even begin to describe the sweet treats available at Café Français. I opted for their Saskatoon Berry Cheesecake which was truly heavenly. It was light yet rich with layers upon layers of vanilla and berry goodness. Overall, Café Français exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The manager, Shallu, was responsive and accommodating—offering us a great bulk‑order price and ensuring the details of the order were correct, which helped make the fundraiser a success. The delivery arrived right on time, and the pizzas were evenly cooked, not greasy, and cut properly for easy distribution. The kids enjoyed the pizza. Papa Johns also thoughtfully included a couple of extra pizzas as part of our bulk order in case we ran short. Based on this experience, I would use Papa Johns again for future pizza orders.”

They had calamari which I enjoyed also, I even ordered the clam chowder which was very light and Savoury , nothing tasted “fishy” every item was light, crisp and packed with flavour. Only complaint I’d have was the fish sandwich being a lil too soggy from the coleslaw other than that everything was exceptionally delicious. Service was also really great, our hostess was kind and occasionally checked in, and even offered to give feedback to the chef. (side note) if the smell of fish bothers you why are you eating seafood?, simply order from skip the dishes because the food definitely outweighs everything else. 8.5 out of 10, definitely dining again”

They serve it with pride! Chicken fried rice is an old school recipe made famous by the old Lee’s kitchens and the OAndB Kitchen that used to be on Dewdney by the LB and Nortown bowling lanes. The chilli oil is made with star Anise and is to die for. Adds a nice flavour to any dish. Weekday buffet is priced right and the options reflect the best of Mai Phuong’s best items. I ordered D1 - Vegetarian Vermacelli Bowl and B8 - Hot & Sour Seafood Soup tonight and it was all very delicious.
For the soups you specify level of spice between 1-5. If you are unsure about spice level, I recommend starting with 1 or 2 and ordering some chili oil on the side to gauge. Keep in mind it is an additional $1.95, but worth it for me because I have extra. Plus it's allways easier to add more spice than take it away.
The fish sauce and chili oil seem home made. The fish sauce and spring rolls are unique to other Vietnamese restaurants, and I've been to most. It was a very nice and presentable meal, I was pleased with both items.
Downside is I had to reheat the soup before eating it, it was warm but not hot. And I like it piping hot. I also expected more quantity for noodles, but I still stand by my 5 star review despite these two items based on flavor and quality ☺️
