It has been a while since I have been here. The same layout and vibe it always have had. With the whole Dewdney Ave construction, it has been hard on any of the businesses to get customers in. This was probably the slowest I have seen it in ages.
I had chicken fingers and fries today. It was good. I wasn't too impressed with the dipping sauce but I guess it is just me. Having a day that I did not feel like creamy dips. I am told it is a hit and miss with this meal.
The other party people at my table had burgers and sandwiches. We all had good nothing fantastic from what I remember the last time visiting here.
This place can host a lot of different large groups, which I did start to see happening as I left. Service is good and on top of things.

This has been a family go-to for years. Loved ones who enjoy a tipple are always able to find something enjoyable to drink, non-drinkers enjoy the extensive menu, which I would call a blend of comfort food and pub food. I love the Saskatchewan plate, and have also enjoyed burgers (you can have a beef burger, chicken, bison, or veggie) but lately I can't stop ordering the beef dip.
A big event that I've been to a surprising number of times is the Firkin Friday, where a different beer is tapped and made available on the first Friday of every month. There are bagpipes involved. A fun way to kick off the weekend!

Food was bland at best. Four different meals. Only thing good was the brisket. We were going to have cheesecake to go home but apperently last call for the kitchen missed our table completely. Kitchen refused to accommodate it but hey we got last call for the bar.

Just had a great visit to Bushwakker. Easily one of the best spots in the city for craft beer—tons of selection and some really unique brews you won’t find anywhere else. The food was awesome too (get the burger or the Saskatchewan Hot Plate). Chill atmosphere, no loud TVs, just good beer and good people. Definitely worth checking out.
The nachos are amazing and could be shared by 4 as a meal! Looking forward to trying the tangerine and dragon fruit beer. Cheers 🍻

Been to the Bushwakker many times over the years. Majority of the time , it’s done enough for me to go back, but maybe it’s just because I haven’t tried anywhere else ? Overall , I would say the service is “ efficient “ over friendly. It seems with an older serving staff, they almost bring their past serving experiences with them to your table. IE this week : “ do you have any mead by the glass this time ? “ Answer , an abrupt “no” . I would rather have experienced servers than lame ditzy young ones, but I find the majority of the servers here, it’s about them, and not making your experience better.
The food is better than any other pub you will find, desserts are always off the chart, amazing, and my wife loves the bison burger. Last time before the football game, we were there super early , maybe 5 tables, and my pizza came out doughy, however, due to the abruptness of our server, I didn’t bother complaining.
The beer is also seeming a little “ meh “ to me. Travelling for work, I hit every craft brewery place in Canada, and this one just seems like they aren’t evolving, after visiting, Quidi Vidi, Garrisons, Beaus , Phillips etc ……..kind of like, we were first , and if it’s not broke don’t fix it, our regulars love it.
Most likely try somewhere else next time. Wow factor is gone for me.

Found this place on reddit for Nachos. did not disappoint. Great serving size with lots of toppings. Gluten free burger bun was fresh and did not fall apart. will be back
