I’ve been a regular customer of Edo Japan on Prince of Wales Drive for quite some time, but my recent visits have been very disappointing. The staff at this branch used to be a diverse mix of nationalities—Chinese, Filipino, Korean, even whites and others—and the food quality was consistently excellent. However, I’ve noticed that the staff has recently changed, and unfortunately, so has the quality of the food and service. The beef on the photo is so DRY…..

Today, I ordered the beef meal, and it was a letdown. The beef was dry and tough, the portion of rice was noticeably smaller than usual, and the overall taste and appearance of the food were far from the standard I’ve come to expect from Edo Japan.

Another major concern is hygiene. All food handlers and servers must observe proper personal hygiene, and this is non-negotiable. From the counter, I could smell an unpleasant odor, which was extremely off-putting and unacceptable in a food establishment.

I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses both the quality of the food and hygiene practices to bring this branch back to its former standard. Until then, I’ll be reconsidering where I order from.

I ordered 2 bento boxes. And yam tempura. They didn't give the spicy mayo with the yam. And in my meal I got the dynamite sushi, the 1 with the tail was all tail no meat. In the other bento box there was sauce all over all the sides. When I walked in the lady working tonight was very pushy, rolling her eyes when I asked for the noodles on one of the bento boxes. I do have to say though the food came out quick that's about the only good thing about this trip to edo.

Got two teriyaki chicken and rice bento boxes with tempura shrimp and California rolls. My partner and I both asked for two scoops of teriyaki sauce, but I don't think either of us got two, though it was still delicious. Food tasted fresh and it was incredibly filling. We asked to have it inside because I wanted to eat out in their red and black bento box (I was trying to provide an experience for my partner that he's never tried) but they gave it to us in takeout containers anyways, which was disappointing.
I also got a mango bubble tea which tasted great, but it seemed like the person who made it didn't do any shaking or stirring themselves, so all the syrup was sitting at the bottom, which wasn't noticeable until you tasted it, at which point it was already too late to shake.

The benches are also incredibly uncomfortable if you're short! They dug into my legs since they seem to be angled up ever so slightly and my feet didn't quite reach flat on the ground.

Overall, mainly minor complaints, but worth noting. Still great food and a good place to go for a filling and tasty meal.

Parking: Huge parking lot shared with Walmart, bulk barn, etc. Only a few places immediately in front of the door, but with a very short walk to MANY more places to park.

One of my favourite locations in Regina. I come here often and the quality of food and meals are great. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly and especially when you enter the lady at the front cashier she’s always saying hi as soon as you enter Edo Japan, she always makes it easy for me to order. The food here is very tasty, I got chicken teriyaki with white rice and Root beer for the drink. Very Japanese style seating, the atmosphere inside here was very relaxing.

Stay clear. Stopped by for a quick pick up. Unfortunately, the tempura shrimps were cold. As if it was on the counter for 10 hrs or so. Disappointed with the experience.

First time to this location. Food wasn't great but the sushi was the worst we've ever eaten. Certainly not Japanese quality or even acceptable quality for a $60 meal. My daughters entire meal went into the trash as she only had 2 bites. Our meals weren't far behind. Definitely will never consider Edo Japan again.

This is my go to spot for food when i don't feel like making dinner myself and its usually great, But today I Ordered chicken and beef YAKISOBA noodles and left with chicken and beef with rice. Wasn't even busy either i was the only one in line. I wouldn't write this if i didn't need to pay an extra dollar for Yakisoba instead of rice
Very disappointed

Staff was super friendly and polite. This franchise has really let itself go, portions were small, taste was bland and the price has gone up.
