Waited close to an hour for two breakfast dishes.. after waiting 20 minutes to be seated. I love the food but won’t be going back anytime soon due to the wait time for service and food.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday dinner. We had espresso martinis to start (which are incredible, and they do custom artistry). I had the duck breast with blackberry brown butter, and it was honestly the best food I'd ever eaten in Regina. Came with absolutely stellar potatoes, and their seasonal veggies were beets, broccolini and pea shoots (all my favourites). We intended on getting dessert, but were way too stuffed to try. This will forever be my favourite dining experience I've had in the city. Right at sunset, with the view, it made it even more beautiful.

Not safe for celiacs / Not Gluten Free. I was up all night extremely sick and in pain with a gluten attack after eating just the starter GF bread and salad. Not safe for gluten free. Also took 1.5 hours to get the salad and over 2 hours for the meal because they will put a table last in the queue if there are dietary needs and serve all other tables first.
Not safe for celiacs - got sick and 2+ hour wait for food. We got in right away for our reservation but the wait was 1.5 hours for starter salad then over 2 hours for main meal. Not happy and in pain from not being gluten free. Was told later that our table was served last because of one of us being a celiac so ALL other tables got served first even if they arrived after due to dietary needs.

We ordered the 2 sharing platters to go. Upon pickup, the staff was so friendly and outgoing. The food tasted amazing with good variety. And so much food. Our group was very impressed.

What a delightful surprise! Driving through Regina on a cross Canada tour we stumbled upon Luna Kitchen and we were so happy! We sat outside under the open sky and had such a wonderful meal. The food was well seasoned, fresh, and very generous in its serving size. Most items can be made gluten free, and the staff service was fantastic. If you are looking for something that is not a big box feel with food made with care, this place is perfect. Good food at a restaurant is still possible!

We received a gift certificate to this facility which brought us here for the first time. The menu is very appealing and unique. Each of us enjoyed our menu choice very much. The flavours were delicious right from salads through main course. The portions were larger than 3 grey haired folks could finish. At arrival we were greeted, quickly escorted to a table, service by the young female server was quick and efficient. The food was hot and was served on hot plates. Very enjoyable. We were treated as valued customers. We will be returning. Highly recommended.

Revisit Feb 2025:
My parents, boyfriend and I went out for dinner on Wednesday night. My parents were quite happy with their meals. For me, I ordered a Truffle Burger ($24.5) with truffle fries ($3?).
The burger is house-made, with garlic aioli, sautéed mushrooms with butter and thyme, arugula, black truffle cheddar and (my favourite) a bacon-onion compote. It was served on a sesame brioche bun.
It looked great, but there were some problems. The patty itself was much too small for the rest of the burger. My boyfriend also mentioned his was gritty. My fries were warm, not hot. But the biggest let down were the mushrooms. They were extremely tough to eat, I ended up not eating them all because I couldn’t get past how rubbery they were. And I’m a fiend for sautéed mushrooms which says a lot.
The flavours here are good. This is the first time I’ve had issues here, so I am willing to return and I'm hoping that this was just a bad night.
Visit in 2024:
This establishment is known as Breakfast Bistro by day and Luna’s Kitchen by night. After being heavily suggested, I finally got to try both. However, this post will focus on Luna’s Kitchen.
I ordered the Drunken Burger with truffle fries, this was $23 and $2 respectively before tax and tip. I have to say WOW, just WOW. I was absolutely stunned with the neat presentation, the taste and the freshness. The brioche bun smelled and tasted amazing. The fries were the best I’ve had in the city pared with what I believe is Parmesan cheese shavings. I’ve had a lot of burgers recently, this was by far THE best I have had at a restaurant so far. Cheese was melted, bacon was crispy and patty was flavourful. The only thing I can comment on is that I wish the patty was flattened a bit more. Other than that, this was just perfect.
My mom ordered the Brie and bacon chicken breast. This was $36 before tax and tip. I had a bite and it was delicious. I also appreciate the colour of the beet root powder on the plate. Whoever is in the kitchen is thinking of everything, including presentation. Which is hard to come by in Regina.
Although I didn’t snag a photo, we were brought fresh toasted bread slices with some dipping oil. We loved this so much we asked for seconds.
I also want to touch on the amazing Ukrainian Man that served us. He was probably the best server I have ever had in the city. He was easy to talk to, attentive and checking in on us throughout our time there. Seriously, please give this man a raise!
While this restaurant is a bit in the pricier side, I say GO HERE. Save your money and your disappointment on eating a burger elsewhere. Just go directly to Luna’s Kitchen.
NOW ON TO THE DESSERT
Even after a big, delicious meal, I couldn’t pass up on some home made baklava. I realized quickly that this beautiful restaurant is Greek owned. I want to start off by saying that I’ve been to Greece. I’ve tasted Baklava made by many, many Greeks. This dessert was probably one of the best if not the best baklava I have ever had. You can taste the love, the skill and the heart in this dessert. It isn’t too sweet, it’s heavy on the nuts. Which honestly, I’m not complaining.
I usually have square sized or rectangular sized baklava, but a roll was unique! If I could comment anything, I would want just a liiiiiittle bit more syrup drizzled on top.
Other than that, go to Luna’s Kitchen. Even just for this dessert!
Amazing food and service, they were able to accommodate a large group of us in short notice which was really appreciated. All 11 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff.
My partner and I arrived at 7pm on Valentine's day. We had no reservation and the main dining area was booked. They offered us a seat at the bar, which we replied we were looking to have a nice meal. The owner/manager was so pleasant and told us we will eat not to worry, and to come in sit and relax.
The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff all attentive and energetic. We ordered some drinks and they brought some house bread and a delicious topping of capers and tomato in oil and vinegar. By the time we finished a drink and the bread, the owner/manager returned and told us he'd pulled a table together for us.
The Valentine's meal was amazing. 3 courses plus desert of the richest food I've ever tasted. It's immediately one of our favorite restaurants ever.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful 😍 The ambiance and vibe is something that you would expect in a big city. The service, food, and drinks were all fantastic. I would highly recommend the espresso martini. The food was impressive right from the table bread to the dessert. Every meal was delicious. I can’t wait to make my way through the menu. This has instantly become one of my favourite little gems that I will be frequenting often. Amazing job Luna!!
First time being at Luna.
The food was incredible. The striploin steak is probably one of the best I’ve ever had in Regina. It was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The little potatoes were also great. We will definitely be back. The only thing I could complain about and it’s not even a big deal, is that I’m not a wine drinker so I thought it was a bit expensive. For me all wine tastes the same for me so I can’t distinguish between a great wine and a good wine. I’ve had bad wine before so at least wasn’t that. lol
Overall I would rate the experience 9.5 out of 10. A couple of times our server would only ask half the table of 8 if they wanted drinks when I wanted another. Other than that it was amazing!!!
