McCarthy Garden Chinese Food

Love their chicken wings. But not fresh roll, I was craving for fresh roll but it was totally different than what I got from viet restaurant.

Waaaayy to much batter on the chicken balls and shrimp.. otherwise decent food.

Ordered Ginger Beef and Chicken lo mein along with Vietnamese spring rolls. I have been ordering from here since I moved into the neighborhood 5 years ago. In my opinion this is the best ginger beef in the city. We have friends that moved to Alberta many years ago that still say this is the best ginger beef anywhere.

We ordered in less than an hour before closing. I wasn't sure what to expect. Absolutely excellent beef in black bean sauce! Excellent fresh fluffy steamed rice! Really good egg rolls, the likes of which you don't see much anymore for size, filling, texture and taste. Plus, the gentleman who took our phone order was so pleasant...it just makes it all a nice experience. Thank you to him and the chef. So impressed!

First off, customer service was EXCELLENT. I ordered, was told how long it would take, and was called back to telll me it would take longer. No other place in Regina does that. EXCELLENT customer service.

Food got here a bit cold, but whatever, they traveled across the city to deliver.

Ordered the BBQ pork, and Special Friied Rice. Both were pretty good. Not the worst, not the best. Good portions, can't complain about the portions; enough to feed two hungry people for sure.

If you're in the McCarthy area, this place is a gem.

Would order again.

McCarthy Garden is by one of the best Chinese food places in the city! The food has always been fresh and I have never experienced a mistake in the order. The service is fast and friendly especially on Christmas Day.

Excellent food/service as always. We missed them since being out of province… McCarthy Gardens was the only place we ordered Chinese food from. Their prices are very fair and they have nice staff who are pleasant and accommodating. Thank you for staying open since we first ordered in 2000, and now we ordered 3 times in our first month back…see you soon for our next order!

I’ve never been dissatisfied ordering from here! Food is always hot and delicious. It’s not a sit-in place so that’s why I put a 3 for atmosphere but the food is good and service is always quick and friendly!

This was my favourite place to eat at when I lived in the area 5 years ago, tried it again today and it tasted old and rancid. The springs rolls smelled and taste of fish, not shrimp but rancid fish, the fresh rolls with pork were inedible. The pork had a weird smell and taste. My daughter couldn’t even eat it. The sweet and sour sauce just tasted sour and was watery. The chicken fried rice had an off taste, like the rice had been soaked in their house smell. Only okay thing was the chicken balls and the egg rolls. Do not order from this place. Worst $65 I’ve ever spent. However, the kid taking order has always been so pleasant, even now.

We have been following the McCarthy Gardens reviews and comments on facebook which are very positive. We decided to order from here this evening and we were not disappointed. There home delivery service was very fast and courteous. The food was hot and delicious. We certainly be ordering from these folk again.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for eight years. It is a take out restaurant, primarily, and the food is always fast, and fantastic.

A family owned and operated business. Perhaps the best Chinese in town.

Used to always order here when I was younger and it's still just as good as I remember. Chicken balls were crunchy on the outside and soft inside, rice was perfect and the wonton soup had great flavor. Will definitely be ordering again. 10/10

We order combination A and combination B dinners tonight and wow !!The containers were so heavy they were so full !!The food was so fresh and tasted so delicious , chopsuey was yummy , sweet& sour ribs , chickenBalls all terrific .Well done McCarthy gardens , we enjoyed - and will for couple nights .We will see you again for sure !!Thank you ?

My husband and I have been searching for good Chinese food since we moved from BC in 2020. Last night we found it. We had ginger beef, chicken chow mein, dry garlic ribs, salt and pepper shrimp, sweet and sour pork. All was quite tasty. Plenty left over for lunch today and even a bit for dinner.
