Public Safety Concern at McDonald’s – Appeal on Behalf of Local Residents
I’m writing on behalf of the residents at the apartment buildings directly across the street from this McDonald’s. We are the owners and property managers of these buildings, which are home to over 30 families—more than 75 people in total, including many children.
Several residents have expressed deep concerns about the current state of the McDonald’s property. Many of them would like to enjoy visiting McDonald’s with their families, but they are afraid to do so due to the ongoing presence of individuals openly using drugs, loitering, and harassing paying customers on the premises. This behavior begins the moment they step into the parking lot and continues until they leave the restaurant.
Despite our efforts to bring this issue to McDonald’s attention, including contacting management directly, there appears to be little to no willingness to address or even acknowledge the problem. In some cases, we’ve observed that free food, water, and phone calls are being given out to individuals who are clearly not paying customers, often at the expense of the comfort and safety of those who are.
We are now appealing to the public for support. If you know someone affiliated with McDonald’s—whether it be the owner, a manager, or someone within corporate leadership—please encourage them to take responsibility for the condition of their property and restore it to a place where local families feel welcome and safe.
This is not just a matter of customer service—it’s a matter of community safety.
Attached below are screenshots of the individuals openly using drugs on the McDonald’s property, as well as copies of the emails I have sent to management—specifically to Johnny, the manager of this location.
I have also spoken with Deepak, the store manager, who has acknowledged the problem and expressed concern for the safety of his staff. It is clear that even McDonald’s employees feel unsafe at their own workplace, which speaks volumes about the severity of this issue.
This situation has become a significant hazard in our neighborhood. Every other business in the surrounding area is doing their part to improve and maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. McDonald’s, however, continues to allow conditions on its property to deteriorate—placing not only its customers but also the entire community at risk.
McDonald’s brands itself as a family restaurant, but this location has not reflected those values for years. It is not a family-safe environment, and that must change.
We will not stop advocating until this McDonald’s location takes meaningful action to restore its property to a standard that aligns with its core mission as a family-friendly establishment.
The community is watching, and we are holding McDonald’s accountable.
I was a bit disappointed at first because the Big Tasty wasn’t on the menu, but I ended up ordering a Big Mac instead, and it was just as tasty as I remember it from back home in the Middle East. I also noticed that they had a cheesecake ice cream sundae, which was a cool surprise since that’s not something we have back home.

I had a really disappointing experience at this McDonald's. The staff at the kiosk were visibly arguing with each other—loud enough for customers to hear. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made the place feel unprofessional and chaotic.
To make matters worse, I noticed that the staff handling food weren’t wearing gloves, which is a major hygiene concern, especially in a fast-food setting. Basic cleanliness protocols should not be overlooked.
And the washroom? Easily one of the worst I’ve seen in any restaurant. It was dirty, smelled bad, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It left a terrible impression.
I understand fast food gets busy, but that’s no excuse for lack of cleanliness or professionalism. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements.

Wouldn’t do a dine in here. Just drive through is fine but they tend to mess up your orders and give you cold food.
