Orange is easy to overlook as it's tucked away on a cathedral side street; but every time I go, I am reminded of why I should remember to go again. The food is always very fresh and tasty; both vegans and non-vegans have several menu options and enjoy the food; the staff is always extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating; and the atmosphere is very unhurried and welcoming. Orange is not a place you can get take-out in 15 mins, but if you are not pressed for time, the food is well worth the wait. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-18

The food was absolutely outstanding and i was impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff was. She went above and beyond to make me feel at home by playing my favourite Blackpink songs.

Started with a miso soup and volcano roll (prawn tempura, crab & tuna) followed by a kimchi bibimbap which was a first for me! Absolutely delicious and I love how the eggs, cheese, rice and everything else just continued to cook in that sizzling hot bowl as I ate it!

I loved the vibe and service was fantastic!

One of the most legitimate feeling izakaya's I have ever been to. Feels exactly like one should, a small, local bar with good eats and a caring and attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Our waitress was great and the food was great. I would definitely come back. The yaki udon with chicken was very good and so was the chicken appetizer (don’t remember the specific name).

Although the agedashi tofu was slightly overcooked and quite crunchy, the rolls were fantastic. Our server was lovely and I enjoyed the atmosphere immensely.

Stopped in for a bite, had 2 kinds of sushi. Dynamite & California rolls. Delicious. Great server ?. Nice warm day in a good-vibe neighborhood so I ate outside on the patio. Recommended.

Parking: There's a Safeway mall across the street that can accommodate parking if the street is full.

For 90$ two of us ate there with two entres and two appetizers. Food was okay, but not nearly worth the price and we had two cans of Pepsi and service took way too long. Would not recommend or eat here again.
