Regent Family Restaurant & Neighbourhood Pub

Here’s what I sent in Messenger December 2014 but never got a reply, haven’t been back since. We’ve been going to Regent for many years and I always recommend to everyone. The last time we were there on Dec 10 we didn’t have a good experience. Morris talked to,I believe it was George as we walked in and were seated. Morris ordered the Greek Pork Chops, Greek Potatoes, salad. I ordered the baked Greek Wings, baked potato and salad. My salad had some brown and mushy leafs which I put off to the side. I love the wings and this time they weren’t really crispy, I can’t eat the skin when they’re not crispy and were bland. The baked potato was ok but the veggies were cold. Morris’s pork chop was ok but his Greek potatoes were bland, not seasoned and there was a small portion compared to all the times I’ve gone at lunch, I usually can’t eat them all. His veggies were also cold. Don’t know if there’s someone new cooking but not the same as usual. Just thought we’d let you know. There’s a pic of the bill below. Oh and the server did ask if I wanted to send the wings back but I was really hungry and chose not to, I just took the skin off. When we told her about the cold veggies she just shrugged it off. At the end I asked her if she mentioned it to the kitchen and she said yes.

Food is consistently good. I have been there 3 or 4 times in the last couple months, always excellent soups. I would strongly avoid going here any time it might be busy. Waited 40 minutes for food today, then they brought 3 of 4 meals while the fourth person waited another 10 minutes for theirs to arrive at the table. If your going when its busy, I would suggest leaving 2 hours open for time.

This is, by far, the best pizza I have ever had in my 50 years.
They make the food as though they are serving it to their own family; The quality of ingredients, portions, service. A+

We love Regent, we order one of their combos every few months. They are a fair deal and the quality is consistent. It’s also a 2min drive from our house so we always order for pickup.

I’m a fair tipper, when I sit down at a restaurant with servers, I start at 20% or minimum $5 when the bill is small. But for pickup orders where I’m just being handed my food over the counter, I don’t think it’s necessary.

I showed up on time, picked up my order and paid, then walked out. As I handed the machine back to the man at the counter and walked out the door, I overheard him and the other man make snide remarks about me and how I didn’t leave a tip. What service did you provide me that deserved any more than the base charge of my order? Ridiculous entitlement.

Definitely left a bad taste in the mouth of a loyal customer.

We were in Regina for an appointment and we had no clue where to go for supper. We randomly chose Regent Family Restaurant. We absolutely lucked out. The service was amazing, our server Syla, was top notch. I haven't experienced such great customer service in years. The Restaurant was clean, cozy and had such a great family feel to it. The menu had something for everyone.
The food was fantastic. We had three different pasta dishes and they all had such unique flavors. The portion sizes were unreal, the taste was missing nothing. The Greek lasagna is out of this world.
Definitely the best meal and service I have had since precovid days. The only complaint I have is now I will be having a craving for this delicious food that is 3 hours away from where I live.

Been an hour and a half still waiting and when called to ask was given attitude and told were busy your just gonna have to wait... I just spent 140 and I've been waiting can't even say how the food is yet

Exactly what I've been looking for in a 'neighborhood pub'! The food was delicious and the service was great too. I will be back for sure ❤️
