I specifically requested very light ice, but the barista added more than half a cup. Additionally, the espresso used was pre-ground rather than freshly ground.

I’ve been a regular customer at this Starbucks, often grabbing a drink while working at the mall. However, today’s experience left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed. After purchasing a hot drink, I went to ask for a simple cup of water. The new worker refused to give me water and instead insisted that I bring my own cup—something I had forgotten at home. I explained that I had just bought a drink from them this morning and asked for a small courtesy of water, but she remained unhelpful and unaccommodating.

It’s one thing to have store policies, but it’s another to lack basic customer service and empathy. Starbucks has always been known for making its customers feel valued, but today’s encounter felt dismissive and inconsiderate.

I visited the store yesterday. It happened to be the day to get a free reuseable straw with purchase according to the app, email, Facebook, my Starbucks account etc. I ordered my regular cold beverage as required and when I asked the worker about the free straw she told me that no, they do not have any straws, those are only at the corporate stores. I happen to look down and in front of the till there was a box of literally the same free straws that had been shown online and in the app in the picture, but there was a tag on the box that said for sale. I said this to her and showed her the app and she just laughed at me as I was looking at them. Furthermore, I mentioned to her that they usually get the free cups at Christmas time, I have gotten those before so why should this be different. She had no response to me. Then she tried to charge me for a straw from the box saying ā€œoh you’re going to take one of thoseā€ and started adding an amount/item to the til. I told her no I am not paying for one, she continued to just laugh at me. Therefore I did not get the straw that I was supposed to get more was she accommodating or courteous.
Secondly, I was not the only customer at the store that day and with the customers in line before me, she asked if they had the scene card to get the scene points. This reminded me of it so while I was in line I was getting my card out ready for her and when she took my order, we got wrapped up in the straw situation that I didn’t realize until after my transaction that she hadn’t asked me for my scene card. While I was waiting for my drink, she proceeded to ask the person behind me as they paid for their beverage for their scene card, so why she asked everybody but me I don’t think was right.
I find it frustrating quite often that these stores do not do some offers as they are not ā€œcorporateā€. Starbucks is Starbucks! I have spoke to Starbucks customer service about this before as well! But besides that I was also not impressed by this employee’s attitude towards me this time.

Waited there for 7 minutes and there was no other customer and the guy at the counter ( Melvin) was busy on the phone speaking in his own language and did not bother to assist. Did not have a courtesy to even say please wait while I was walking away. Worst ever service that I have got in a Starbucks. Use to be a regular there will never go or recommend to my friends.
