Tamarind Restaurant in Regina offers high-quality dishes with professional service.
I tried the Veg Pakoras, Chilli Chicken, and mashed eggplant along with Naan and rice.
The food was delicious, and the restaurant was clean.
Recommended!

Some of the highest quality food you will find in Regina. Extremely flavorful, fresh and good size portions. Staff is amazing, and the restaurant is very clean.

This was a great restaurant for my family. Can accommodate various levels of spice/heat and each dish was top quality. I've been yearning to go again or order in if they have that option. Highly recommended!

“I really enjoy the food at Tamarind Restaurant; it’s the best in the city! The prices are very affordable, and everything is delicious. I visit this restaurant frequently and highly recommend trying the chicken biryani—it’s my favorite!”

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Tamarind. From start to finish, it was a series of letdowns that left a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. Me and my friends came at the restaurant on 8th july 2024 and there was a girl working (mentioning so that the management know who worked that evening).
First off, we arrived at 8:30 PM only to be informed that the restaurant was closing in 45 minutes. As soon as we sat down, we were served drinks, but they were lukewarm and quickly became watery because they were poured over ice. It was clear they had no concept of how to serve a refreshing beverage.
I haven’t seen any place who would offer lukewarm drinks even before serving starters.
The seating arrangements were also a mess. My friends were not allowed to sit in the more comfortable sofa dining area, and we were constantly badgered by the staff asking if we were done eating, which made the entire dining experience extremely tense and unpleasant.
As for the food, it was a disaster. The fried rice had a terrible egg smell that was off-putting. The biryani was an even bigger disappointment. It seemed like they had just thrown some white rice over chicken gravy with a few crispy onions on top, with no proper dum cooking involved. The chicken itself was undercooked, which is a major health concern.
When we complained about the biryani, instead of apologizing, the girl working there started defending the dish. This lack of accountability and basic restaurant management ethics was astonishing.
Overall, I would not recommend Tamarind Restaurant to anyone. The poor service, subpar food, and lack of proper management made it one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.

Lovely presentation, delicious food, friendly staff, and beautiful space.
I came here for the first time with a friend and my lamb biryani was so good, I had to come back and order another one that same week! The second time, I tried this other dish too (I think it was Lamb Vindaloo) with naan and it was also ?
They have booth and chair options so whichever you prefer, they got you!

The food was absolutely delicious, each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Not only was the taste exceptional, but the portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left feeling satisfied. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and it's clear that the chefs take pride in their craft. I highly recommend tamarind to anyone seeking a culinary experience that excels in both taste and quantity.

Went in last Friday to have our dinner and we were served with yummy delicious food. Reshma helped us choose our portions and was so friendly. Even though she was alone after 8pm, she was able to manage all the customers with a pleasant smile.
We usually go for Chicken Biryani and Tandoor chicken but this time we tried couple of other dishes too. Everything was so good as always.
Thank you Guys.

Haven't actually eaten inside the restaurant before. I've only ever ordered and had it delivered. The food is always very good and we were in the north end of town for other reasons so we thought we'd eat in.
We shared the chicken in Malabar sauce (mild seasoning). Delicious! Had the garlic naan bread on the side. Also delicious.
The restaurant is quite small with only a few tables (4?) and 5 booths. We were there before the supper rush but I'd imagine you'd want to ensure you were there early or get a reservation otherwise.
All the mains are gluten free if that's an important consideration for you. If you're in the north end check it out.
