They had more vegetarian options compared to other Japanese restaurants. We tried Ramen and some appetizers. They were all good but the portion size could be increased. The service was quick. Staff were friendly and loved the paintings in the walls. Highly recommend D their Ramen and Shirley Temple Mocktail.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but the drop in quality of the ramen tonight was sadly appalling... the drinks are at least good, and most of their food is decent, but the ramen..I used to be a regular while the old chef was in. Their ramen was good, but particularly the garlic ramen was a little excessively oily. My partner and I decided to see how it changed, and it turns out they add even MORE garlic oil so that's all you can taste. Furthermore, the meat they decided to use was not just lower quality, but a quarter inch thick piece of pork that was 75%+ fat cap... I would at least like it thinner so it could possibly be eaten.My partner was entirely unable to eat more than maybe two bites of the ramen, and we had to return it even though, again, we don't like being negative in our restaurant experience. Possibly due to that, they still charged us full price for the ramen we couldn't eat, despite the common courtesy being to either take the food item off the bill or at least reduce the price.Overall, the service is alright (if a little quiet), the drinks are made by a proper sommelier, and most of the food is good... but the meat they use for the ramen is just gross.Also, P.S. the old, casual atmosphere and the few "bar food" type items of the old Tipsy Samurai will be missed, and I wish there was a place like that again.

Wow I had a Ramen bowl and I have to say that broth was like crack I couldn’t get enough it was so good, the pork was so tender it just fell apart, the meal was amazing also tried the Dynamite roll was nice and fresh, we also had to try some Saki and they had a lot of options to try and was very good. I would go back again tommarow if I could highly recommend it.

Came for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised by great, fast service and excellent ramen and sushi. Ramen was up there with some of the best bowls we had in Japan! Highly recommend the garlic tonkatsu ramen. Delicious!

My wife and I went to the tipsy samurai 01/13/24 later in the evening. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the very kind waitress. The artwork and the vibes inside were 10/10. Once we were seated she had recommendations and always repeated back our order. I cannot express how excellent our service was. We had ordered some special sake based on her recommendation and a gentleman came out to explain exactly what we were getting. After discussing with him we found out he actually had PHYSICALLY made the sake we were about to drink. It was so smooth and flavourful. We ordered an assortment of appetizers to share and the fried chicken may have been the best food I have ever tasted in my entire life. It was fresh. Hot. Flavourful and had a hint of herbs in the breading.I wish I could articulate our entire experience but I feel I would begin rambling. Tipsy samurai you have truly outdone yourself for the service and meal. We are lucky to have such a delightful spot in Regina.

We've always loved Tipsy Samurai, but today they went above and beyond for us! My brother was in from out of town and we couldn't decide what to get so the staff offered us THE most amazing tasting menu. It was a perfect amount of everything for us and absolutely delicious, as per usual. We have yet to have a single bad experience at this restaurant and have been eating here for years.

Today was my second lunch there, and will definitely not be the last! Every bite was delicious, the service was excellent, friendly, with a description of each dish we ordered. Serving sizes were the perfect size for sharing, which gave us the opportunity to try several items. Added bonus is the stunning murals on the walls. I highly recommend-5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
