Seems they're losing their service quality. I waited at the cashier for 5mins to pick up my order from Uber eats. I was not helped by any staff at all so I took the first bag I saw which thankfully was my order anyways. Food is good but service is very poor and would not recommend.

My recent visit to Chianti Café & Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere exuded luxury, with meticulous attention to detail in both the service and the presentation of the dishes. Despite arriving to an empty restaurant, the single server on duty was attentive, precise, and professional in every aspect, from placing the hot bread to serving water and beer with care.

The bread, although almost too hot to handle, was incredibly delicious—worth the discomfort of its scorching temperature. It was a bold start that set high expectations for the meal.

The lasagna, while initially leaning towards mediocrity, grew more enjoyable as the flavors developed with each bite. What started as a good, albeit unremarkable dish, evolved into something quite satisfying by the end.

The desserts, however, were the true stars. The Blood Orange Cheesecake was a visual and culinary masterpiece—a gelatinized blood orange layer on top, giving way to a sweet cheesecake and a perfectly crunchy base. It was a delightful blend of textures and flavors.

To my surprise, an additional dessert arrived: a complimentary strawberry ice cream cake with a soft white cake base, served cold and cut into delicate strips. It was an unexpected and refreshing treat that rounded off the meal beautifully.

Chianti Café & Restaurant is a solid 10/10 experience.

With its luxurious ambiance, flawless service, and thoughtful extras, it's a place I highly recommend for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

The food was good but we had bugs crawling across the table periodically. We didn't realize until after we had finished eating that they were baby cockroaches. Mentioned it to staff and they claimed they hadn't had an issue with cockroaches... recently. After looking at reviews there was another person that had seen a cockroach 10 days ago. Feeling pretty sick to my stomach. Service was also slow despite the restaurant not being busy.

I will never return. It took over an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. It took more than 30 minutes to get an iced tea and a coffee, then to be told that they had no coffee!!! My iced tea was so, so strong that I could have made a full pitcher with the contents of my 1 glass.

Oh, wow!!!! This place is an absolute dive.
Our Hockey team went as a group. We pre-ordered, but nothing was ready yet. The food was so gross, the Chicken was undercooked and rubber, the Beef tasted funky, the pasta was awful, and the Vietnamese were so bad.
Don't do it!

Just don’t go.
Our patience was tested as we endured a two-hour wait for our meal and an additional 30 minutes for our soda. The pasta, when it finally arrived, was overcooked. Despite the server's attempt to rectify the issue, the dish returned to our table appeared to be the same, with an added layer of bacon, and pasta was still overly soft. To add to our dismay, a cockroach was spotted near the server’s area. This experience has left us with no desire to return.

Our visit to your establishment on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at approximately 5:30 PM, was less than satisfactory. The following day, when I attempted to voice my concerns to the staff via call, I was informed that the owner was away for two weeks. This prolonged wait, coupled with the poor quality of the food, left us deeply disappointed.

Delicious pasta. Usually order from here and portions are big and everything is always good. The few times I've dined in, its been quiet but service is good and the bread they serve at the table is great too.

Definitely noticeable that it is no longer a true Chianti restaurant. Prices were the only thing that were the same, but quality was definitely not. Definitely explains why the restaurant was empty at 6:00 on a Friday night.

From Edmonton, in town for work, Wanted basic. Orders bolognese spaghetti, unfortunately I wasn’t a fan. Not only of the lack of flavour but the textures were not it, just not a well curated dish, and I love chiantis.
