I was disappointed that the Chicken Alaska was unavailable afer I thought I had seen it on the website(I likely seen it on a past post and not the restaurants fault). Food was ok. My potatoes were not hot like they should have been but portions were decent. The apple crumble dessert was really good.

Last night, we celebrated our 9th anniversary at Flanagan’s Steakhouse, and it was an unforgettable experience! The highlight of the evening was the Steak Diane, flambéed right at our table — absolutely delicious and such a unique touch that made the night special. The atmosphere is incredible. The classic décor, with beautiful paintings and statues, truly transports you to another era where elegance was the norm. The Christmas decorations are stunning and add an extra layer of charm and coziness to the space. Service was impeccable. Rusty, our server, was phenomenal — attentive to every detail and anticipating our needs before we even realized them. That level of care made us feel truly valued. The restaurant is warm, comfortable, and perfect for celebrating milestones. I will definitely return to Flanagan’s for future special occasions in Saskatoon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

Atmosphere is very nice. Service was alright. Waited 5min to be seated for our reservation. Took my friend for her birthday dinner. She got the Greek ribs. Tasted like they were made 4 or 5 days before hand. Not alot of flavor or seasoning. Mentioned soaked in Lemon juice but couldn't taste any lemon and no lemon provided.. I got the rib eye. It came out grey. Was cooked med rare. No seasoning no flavor and doubt it was 14oz. Reminded server peppercorn sauce 3 times. Did not get it untill steak was almost gone. And it tasted like they burnt it.
Definitely was disappointed and not worth the price. For a steak house it needs some improvement. The keg or state in main is alot better.

Went for dinner with my wife. Service was incredible. Atmosphere was great and food was amazing. This is not a fast food outlet. Make sure you have time to sit and relax and enjoy yourself. We started with crab cakes and gyoza. They were both delicious. My wife had the trout while I enjoyed the lamb ribs. Both entrees were incredible. Words do not do them justice. Well worth the money!

We sat for 20 mins before someone came to take a drink order and then another 30 for them to bring us free, disappointing bread. It was 100 mins before we received our food order and the waitress was somehow surprised we didn’t want dessert at hour 2, when we finally asked to collect our bill. Plus, for some unknown reason our food was ice cold when it arrived, even though we had been waiting for it, so I was quite surprised it had also, apparently, been waiting for us. It’s a tiny place and many servers were just standing around- there are private rooms so maybe that was taking their time, but still. Waaaayyyy too slow of service and cold steak. Maybe it’s a nice place if you order a freshly made salad and an appetizer, but if you go in hungry looking for a steak, you will be disappointed. Also, we had a reservation and it was not at all busy (on a Saturday evening).
I believe the meal would have tasted excellent, had it been served an hour earlier, or ten degrees warmer, or both.

FANTASTIC experience at Flanagan's in June 2025. I originally had plans to visit a difference steakhouse but posted my agenda on Reddit and got several recommendations to try Flanagan's instead - definitely advice well taken!
We had a reservation for 6pm and upon arrival the common dining room was fairly empty but filled up shortly thereafter - a walk-in was informed of about an hour wait. So definitely worth to book in advance.
The waiter was absolutely amazing. In general I'm not typically impressed with waitstaff - take an order, bring a drink, a meal, a bill, collect your tip. The experience here was just great - the waiter went way above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and entertained. And we noticed he did the same for every table - it wasn't a routine, just genuine.
We ordered the caesar salad, which is prepared table side and was as much a joy to watch the preparation and it was to eat. Absolutely recommend this as a starter. Normally I overload my caesar salad with chicken and bacon , neither of which this had, but it is nonetheless a top five caesar salad in my life.
For entree I had the BBQ Bison Short Ribs. Absolutely amazing. Soooo delicious. With mashed potatoes side and vegetables it could not have been more perfect.
100% recommend Flanagan's, best restaurant experience I've had in a long time.

My only complaint is that me and my dad come here just for the rack of lamb. Always been amazing!! Yesterday we came and it was totally different 😢 no longer a herb crusted rack like the menu described it’s now individual chops that were very fatty and a sort of gravy on top. Not as good. We were told they have a new chef. I hope they go back to the original rack of lamb!!!!
Upon entering the room, I loved the vibe. The dining room is absolutely beautiful. Service was great as well as the food.. some of the items on the menu are made right at the table. Which is a nice touch. Portions are a good size so unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert. Really enjoyed being able to go out for dinner and have a conversation without all the chatter and loud music In the background. We’ll definitely go back.
