The sate chicken banh mi is disappointing. When I order sate, I expect the meat to be grilled. I don’t see any kind of grilling on the chicken nor any Vietnamese flavours on the chicken. It could have been boiled for all I know. It was very tender, though.
Absolutely delightful. I didn’t even make it home before eating half the sandwich — it was that good.
The flavors are so well balanced, fresh, and satisfying that my mouth is literally watering as I write this. Hands down, this is probably the best banh mi I’ve ever had.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Francis (aka Frankie), and what a genuinely lovely gentleman. So friendly, welcoming, and kind — it honestly felt like chatting with someone...
