The food, as always, was amazing. However, for the first time since I have been at Hearth, one of the dishes (the beef) was good at all. The way they handled it was very professional. They apologized immediately and asked me what I would like instead, and that dish came out very quickly. They did not charge us for that dish. As always, excellent service and meal.
Adrian was a great server - very friendly, personable and well voiced in all that is offered. The special Benny that day was on fried green tomatoes and it just might be the best Benny I've ever had! All of those at or table had the same response. Beautiful spot - only thing that was slightly uncomfortable was being seated at the back banquettes and it was super tight to get into the seat and I am not a large person! Getting the most out of the space though- I understand....
Our visit to Hearth was unfortunately defined by a stark contrast between the kitchen's performance and the front-of-house service. To begin on a positive note, the appetizers were absolutely delicious and served in a decent, satisfying portion size. The quality and preparation of the food were excellent, setting a high expectation for the rest of the evening. However, the experience went downhill rapidly due to the awful table service.
