We left after the drinks and appetizers and ate dinner elsewhere. I'm not sure if pickled onions (out of a jar/questionable), cured (but when) meat (not meats) = the described “daily featured house cured meats , pickles”. It did have salt sprinkled on the plate ... I guess.
Pretty good food but weirdly poor service. The server we had seemed like she'd never waited tables before and seemed lost (didn't know the menu, didn't have recommendations and lacked passion for anything on the menu). I expect a bit more polish for a $250 table for 2 people.
The food is fantastic and the menu is changing all the time. So you will never get bored. They need to update their website though. Menu there was not the same as what was offered at the time.
Did the tasting menu. The trout starter was so flavourful and very satisfying bites. The potato wedges with espuma and house made ketchup were great as well. The espuma is so great. The risotto was also a fantastic tasting dish. The meat course was good not great. Having fries after the wedges was not our favourite. The meal ended with seabuckthorn sorbet (delicious and tart) and crème caramel with whiskey raisins that was simply perfect. Great cocktails and wine too!
This is a wonderful cozy spot for a date night. We had the Chef Tasting menu which was full of variety. We also enjoyed sitting at the table across from the pass where we could see Chef work. A great experience.
The portions were very small and we had asked for gluten free options and they recommended the gnocchi. They brought it out without the gnocchi, saying they had been mistaken that it was gluten free, so they added extra apple?!? The food was decent, but the tiniest portions and we left hungry after having starters, mains and a shared dessert.
We enjoyed another amazing meal at F&B! Started with the beets for an appy, we each had the steak which was cooked to perfection and finished off with a delicious creme caramel. F&B is a favourite restaurant of ours and we highly recommend it to others!
An even better dining experience than I had hoped — and the reviews thus far left me with high hopes, indeed! I took my fella here to celebrate his b'day and we were blown away! The atmosphere is relaxed and classic. Not pretentious at all. He started with a delicious cocktail and me with the undone gimlet. We had the beets as our starter at the recommendation of an old friend seated two tables over. These are veggies for people who hate veggies. A textural experience like none I have had before; silky beets with luscious goat cheese melted on top, crunchy walnuts and fresh tarragon!? I have never experienced anything like it! Apparently I was the first ever to try the flank steak special with triple cooked fries, and he had a gorgeous pork loin. Minds BLOWN. The Baked Saskatchewan dessert was the perfect finish, again with the various textures and temperatures. You'd have to be crazy not to try this restaurant. We're heading back next week to celebrate my birthday so we can something else — the tasting experience is on our list!
The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and I will most definitely be eating here again. I enjoyed everything and appreciate the attention to detail in each of the dishes we tried. It was so flavorful!! Very wonderful first experience!
Had my gma's 99th birthday celebration over the weekend. Had all the Small Plates and shared them between the 6 of us. They were all on point. Then we ate all of the desserts. Left completely satiated. Was a great evening ?

Food was excellent (solid tasting menu), service was fantastic with very nicely paired wines with the meal. The benches at the table were a little big for the shorter people in our party, but they have cushions on order to help out those folks. Overall, a great night with great food.
First time at F&B. Have always been a big fan of Dale MacKay and always liked Ayden. F&B was excellent, food and cocktails were all delicious. Looking forward to returning and trying other menu items
Was disappointed in the food. Service was amazing and they did everything they could to make our experience amazing but I was sadly disappointed in the quality of food. Loved sticky and stones loved Aden but sadly disappointed in the food at F&B. Was expecting so much more out of the food.
Great restaurant. So glad they kept the chicken wings from Ayden's. Still a favourite. Main dishes excellent. Recommend the steak. Favourite dessert- Baked Saskatchewan. Must try.
Mixed feelings about our experience at F&B. Service was amazing! Appetizer was absolutely delicious! I had the striploin which was also delicious but was sadly more chewy and not as tender as I expected for a high quality dish. My partner ordered the pickerel and unfortunately he got sick during the night. I was entertained by watching the head chef plate the dishes and see the flow of the kitchen. My partner found it more disruptive vs entertaining. I would go again but mixed feelings from our first experience.
