Ate here last friday and it was okay. I had the beef dip which was awesome! My mom got the chicken quesadilla but it came with beef and not chicken... when she mentioned it to the waiter he just shrugged. I was just a but disappointed because the menu I looked at online ahead of time must have been outdated... they no longer have the steak sandwich, pulled pork, etc. They only have 6 options for entrees and they have increased quite dramatically in price. Came here a few years ago and it was terrific. Super cozy and lovely. The service was fantastic and above and beyond the typical restaurant service. The food was delicious!! Lots of options and prices are/were reasonable. The interior is lovely
One of my go to items to order to determine whether I will come back or not and to determine if I like the restaurant’s “focus” is a burger. If I like it, I will go back and try many other items. The Village Bistro has a very good burger: the bun had a nice texture and was flavourful, the pickles looked handmade but were tasty regardless, and the beef had flavour.
